Allergies involving the nose can be pesky, especially when they persist. In Ayurveda, recurring nose irritation tied to seasonal changes and food reactions could hint at an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Pitta and Kapha. These doshas might be aggravated, causing redness, itching and sensitivity.

To address this, you might explore ways to balance your Pitta dosha, which tends to be linked with heat. Start by moderating spicy, hot, and oily foods, as these can intensify Pitta. Substitute with cooling foods like cucumber, coconut water and sweet fruits. While you maintain this diet, stay well-hydrated especially during the hotter months. Drinking herbal teas like chamomile or mint can also be soothing.

Additionally, explore applying a light paste made from sandalwood and rose water which can provide a cooling effect to the nose. Just apply it gently on affected area, and rinse with cool water after it dries. This might help in reducing redness and irritation a bit.

Practice daily pranayama, particularly Sheetali or Nadi Shodhana, to cool the system and manage stress. Meditation may be beneficial in reducing stress which sometimes exacerbates allergic reactions.

A simple nasal rinse with saline water can help. It might clear allergens out from nasal passage and give relief. However, make sure to use purified water and practice it safely, like a few times a week.

Since you noticed reactions from spices, maintain a food diary to track what triggers your symptoms. Avoid identified irritants conscientiously.

If symptoms escalate, seek immediate professional care–don’t second guess when it’s severe. Balance is key; don’t force any change that causes discomfort. Remember, patience and consistency with Ayurvedic methods can take time, but they aim to harmonize your body naturally. Don’t hesitate to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance based on your unique body constitution.
