Bleeding piles, also known as “Arsha” in Ayurveda, require addressing both symptom relief and underlying causes like aggravated Pitta dosha and poor digestion. One of the primary steps is cooling the Pitta with appropriate diet and lifestyle changes. Begin by avoiding spicy, oily and fermented foods which can aggravate Pitta. Instead, favor a diet rich in fiber like whole grains, fresh fruits and cooked green vegetables to promote softer stools and prevent straining. Hydrate well by drinking warm water throughout the day to support digestion and prevent constipation.

Triphala, a revered Ayurvedic herb combination can be highly beneficial. Take one teaspoon of Triphala powder mixed with warm water before bed. It gently cleans the colon and aids digestion. For local application, a paste made from sesame oil (Til oil) can provide relief and aid healing. Apply it gently to the affected area after cleaning with warm water.

Incorporate an Ayurvedic decoction such as “Khadiradi”, which helps in healing haemorrhoids. Steep one teaspoon of Khadira bark powder in a glass of water over low flame until the liquid reduces to half, then strain and drink once daily.

Pranayama practices like Sheetali and Sheetkari can cool down body heat effectively and support healing from inside. Pair this with a regular schedule of light to moderate exercise, as inactivity can worsen episodes of piles.

Avoid suppressing natural urges, including urination, and ensure regular meal timings to maintain optimal Agni (digestive fire). Should these measures offer no improvement or your symptoms worsen seek an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized treatment, as there may be deeper imbalances at play that require tailored herbs or interventions.

Bleeding piles, or hemorrhoids, can indeed be quite a challenging condition. In Siddha-Ayurvedic tradition, addressing the root cause involves balancing your doshas, notably pitta and vata. Since you’re vegetarian, it’s good to focus on foods that are pitta-pacifying, as bleeding often indicates excess heat.

First, consider Triphala as a beneficial herbal remedy. You can take a powdered form, about half to one teaspoon, preferably with warm water before bed. This can support digestion and regular bowel movements, preventing further strain.

Additionally, Aloe Vera juice consumed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach can provide cooling relief to your digestive system. About 20-30 ml should suffice. It helps in soothing the intestines and reducing inflammation.

Include fiber-rich foods like whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables, which will soften stools and ease pain. Hydration is equally important, so aim for 8-10 glasses a day, which can help maintain regularity and minimize bleeding.

Topically, applying sesame oil around the anal area can help provide moisturization and relief. It has anti-inflammatory properties which soothe the affected area.

Avoid spicy, greasy, or processed foods that can aggravate your condition, and manage stress through slow, deep-breathing exercises or mediation. That too helps maintain pitta balance.

However, if bleeding persists or is heavy, consultation with a healthcare professional is crucial. Severe bleeding may require immediate attention to rule out more serious conditions. Ayurveda complements but does not replace conventional medical care in urgent situations.
