Your symptoms of numbness heat sensation on the left side hip with sharp pain radiating down till the ankle clearly suggest nerve irritation consistent with sciatica so the focus should be on calming the nerve and reducing inflammation Yogaraja guggulu one tablet twice daily after food helps in reducing pain stiffness and improving movement Dashmoolarishtam 15 ml with equal water twice daily after food supports muscle and nerve recovery Ashwagandhadi lehyam one teaspoon twice daily with milk helps in strengthening nerves reducing pain and improving overall recovery For external care apply Mahanarayana tailam daily over lower back hip and leg followed by mild heat as this helps in relieving pain and numbness Avoid cold exposure prolonged sitting and sudden strain continue gentle walking but avoid heavy workouts during pain flare If pain becomes very severe persistent numbness increases or weakness develops in leg then proper clinical evaluation is needed With regular care symptoms usually start reducing gradually over few weeks

Getting numbness feeling of heat in the left hip and sharp pain radiating down toward the ankle sounds like sciatica or nerve irritation due to nerve compression in the lower back or hip or inflammation around the hip and gluteal muscles You can take yograj guggulu one tablet twice daily after food maharasnadi kwath 15 ml with equal warm water twice daily after food Ashwagandhadi lehyam 1 teaspoon at night with warm milk apply mahanarayana taila on the lower back hip and leg followed by heat fomentation Avoid prolonged sitting bending forward suddenly or heavy lifting until pain improves light walking keep meals warm and include ghee and avoid cold or dry foods that aggravate vata If the numbness worsens or severe persistent pain consult a doctor immediately

Namaste, Your symptoms — numbness + burning sensation in hip + sharp pain going down till ankle — strongly suggest nerve involvement (similar to sciatica), usually due to vata aggravation and nerve compression. Simple understanding: Pain radiating from hip to ankle → often due to sciatic nerve irritation Numbness and heat sensation → nerve irritation + vata-pitta imbalance Worsening with certain positions → mechanical compression (spine/hip region) Since it is chronic (>6 months), it needs consistent treatment, not temporary relief. Simple measures that may help: Avoid prolonged sitting or wrong posture Do not sit on very soft or very hard surfaces Use firm mattress for sleep Apply warm fomentation (heat) on lower back/hip daily Do gentle stretching/yoga (under guidance) Avoid sudden bending, heavy lifting Oil application: Yes, daily local massage on lower back, hip, and leg with warm oil is very helpful. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Yogaraj Guggulu – 1 tablet, twice daily after meals Dashmoolarishta – 15–20 ml with equal water, after lunch and dinner Mahayograj Guggulu (if pain severe) – 1 tablet, twice daily after meals External oil: Mahanarayana Taila – apply warm, twice daily on affected area This helps in reducing nerve inflammation, stiffness, and pain. If symptoms persist or increase, consider physiotherapy or spine evaluation. Improvement usually takes 4–8 weeks with consistency. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

The symptom you describe is strongly pointing towards gradhisi or sciatica due to vitation of vata and sometimes kapha or pittta which gives hot sensation so you can take following prescription which I added 1) sahacharadi kwath - 15 ml with 45 ml lukewarm water twice daily before food 2) Yograj guggulu - 2 Tablet twice daily after food 3) ksheerbala capsule -1 tablet twice daily after food 4) ksheerbala thailam- lukewarm over the hip and leg followed by mild steam Include warm cooked oily with healthy fats food use ghee in daily routine strictly avoid cold drinks raw salad dress snacks Include moringa sesame seed and Amla in your diet Practice Pranayam and easy yogasana Ensure seven to eight hour of sound sleep
