Ayurveda के अनुसार neuropathy को मुख्यतः वात विकार (Vata imbalance) माना जाता है, जिसमें नसों की कमजोरी, पैरों में थकान, चलने में कठिनाई, सीढ़ियाँ उतरते समय कमजोरी और fatigue महसूस होना सामान्य लक्षण हैं। सही उपचार और जीवनशैली से काफी सुधार संभव है। Ayurvedic Treatment (आयुर्वेदिक उपचार) अश्वगंधा – नसों को शक्ति देने, कमजोरी और fatigue कम करने में सहायक। ब्राह्मी व गिलोय – nerve nourishment और शरीर की immunity बढ़ाने में उपयोगी। गुग्गुल / महायोगराज गुग्गुल – वात रोग एवं नसों के दर्द में लाभकारी। दशमूल क्वाथ – सूजन, कमजोरी और शरीर दर्द में सहायक। क्षीरबला तेल / महानारायण तेल से पैरों व कमर की हल्की मालिश करने से nerves को strength मिलती है। Panchakarma Therapy यदि समस्या पुरानी है तो Ayurveda अभ्यंग (औषधीय तेल मालिश) स्वेदन (भाप चिकित्सा) बस्ती चिकित्सा बहुत प्रभावी मानी जाती हैं। यह वात को शांत कर नसों की कार्यक्षमता सुधारने में मदद करती हैं। Diet & Lifestyle ✔ गर्म, ताजा और सुपाच्य भोजन लें। ✔ ठंडी चीजें, अधिक चाय-कॉफी, फास्ट फूड व देर रात जागना कम करें। ✔ रोज हल्का योग, प्राणायाम और सुबह-शाम 15–20 मिनट टहलना लाभकारी है। ✔ पर्याप्त नींद और तनाव कम रखना बहुत जरूरी है। यदि diabetes, Vitamin B12 deficiency या spinal problem है, तो उसकी जांच भी आवश्यक है क्योंकि ये neuropathy का मुख्य कारण हो सकते हैं। उचित Ayurvedic उपचार, नियमित दिनचर्या और पंचकर्म से धीरे-धीरे walking strength और energy में अच्छा सुधार देखा जा सकता है।
