Seeking Ayurvedic Guidance for Paralysis and Speech Issues After Dysentery - #51386
Namaste. I would appreciate Ayurvedic guidance regarding a 45-year-old patient who developed paralysis or body weakness especially right-side body weakness and slurred speech (possible dysarthria / speech paralysis) about one month after a severe episode of dysentery with fever and dehydration. The patient now has reduced hand grip, difficulty walking, and unclear speech, but understanding and thinking ability are normal. There is no history of hypertension, diabetes, or heart disease. From an Ayurvedic perspective, could this condition be considered Pakshaghata with Vak-vikriti / Vak-stambha affecting speech? What classical Ayurvedic approaches, herbs, or Panchakarma therapies are recommended specifically for improving speech (dysarthria) and motor weakness in such cases?
How long have you been experiencing the paralysis and speech issues?:
- 1-2 monthsHave you noticed any specific triggers that worsen the symptoms?:
- Physical activityWhat is your current diet like?:
- Balanced and nutritious
