Concerns about Mother's Nerve Weakness and Possible ALS - #50371

Client_750642

Hello, my mother born in 1962, with no prior symptoms has recently had weakness in her right leg which has caused her to fall 3 times. She has had Electro myography a few times and according to the doctors, some of her nerves are "dead" Her symptoms first started when her right leg started to feel heavy and dull and weak. Her main doctor has been administering IVIG to her and in a few weeks she will go through the 3rd round of IVIG. She has had minimal benefits from it. A different doctor is saying that she is exhibiting signs of ALS, however the condition of her nerves have been stable over the past year as doctors have been examining her. My mother is a nervous woman who experiences anxiety a lot. She is pitta dominant. She has been doing intermittent fasting for the last 5 years with her first meal at 12pm and her last meal before 5pm. Some days, and for a long time she was eating only one meal a day but she did not experience any weakness then. Her main doctor yesterday tested the strength in her right big toe and she is unable to pull her left big toe towards herself as strong as her left foots big toe. I have been following the rules of ayurveda for a few years now and I used ashwaganda to relax my own nervous system. The other day I was thinking if ashwaganda can be used in order to relax the nervous system, perhaps it can help rebuild and repair the nerves as well. I gave her some ashwaganda so she can benefit from it, but I am not sure if that's what will help repair her muscles. Her symptoms only started after she has taken the covid vaccine. A
