Hello I get it, worries about your kid’s seizures are totally normal. Of course, you want her to be seizure-free! Epilepsy needs ongoing attention, but lots of kids do super well and live regular lives with the right care.

I’m here to help you with a safe, practical plan that combines today’s medicine with Ayurveda.

First Thing to Remember (Seriously Important)

Since your daughter’s been diagnosed with epilepsy and is already taking meds, please, please :

Don’t ever stop or change her meds suddenly. Think of Ayurveda as extra support, not a replacement right now.

Stopping meds fast can cause: * Really bad seizures * Status epilepticus * Brain stuff

Epilepsy in Ayurveda (Apasmara)

In Ayurveda, they call epilepsy Apasmara, and they think it comes from: * An imbalance of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha * Mainly Vata issues in the brain and nerves * A buildup of toxins

What we’re trying to do:

* Soothe the nervous system * Feed the brain * Make seizures less often/bad. * Make memory, confidence, and sleep better

Safe Ayurvedic Help (Along with Her Regular Meds)

These are herbs that are usually safe for kids:

1. Brahmi Syrup 5 ml, twice a day after eating Amazing brain booster

2. Shankhpushpi syrup 5 ml at bed time Calms out the nerves.

3. Ashwagandha 1/4 teaspoon of the powder with warm milk at night Calms Vata and makes nerves stronger.

DIET PLAN (Super Important for Seizure Control)

AVOID –Junk food –Chocolates – Cold drinks – Too much screen time – Late night –Skipping meals

INCLUDE –Warm, homemade food –Ghee (1 tsp a day) – Milk – Rice, lentils, veggies –Almonds (2 soaked each day) –Dates

LIFESTYLE (Really Makes a Difference)

These things can lower seizures naturally: * Go to sleep at the same time every night (before 10 pm) * No phone before bed * Regular meals * Get some sun in the morning * Gentle yoga (only with someone who knows what they’re doing) * Breathing exercises (if she’s up for it)

* Do these for 5 minutes every day:Anulom Vilom and Bhramari These calm the brain.

When Can We Lower the Meds Only if: * She hasn’t had a seizure for at least 2 years * Her EEG is normal * Her doctor says it’s okay

Then, we’ll slowly lower the dose.

A full recovery is possible for some kids, especially if: * They have focal seizures * The medication works well * There’s no brain stuff * They live a healthy life

But even if they don’t get totally better, most kids: * Don’t have seizures for years * Do well in school * Live a normal life

Keep giving her the meds from her doctor + add some easy Ayurvedic support + stick to a routine.

This helps the most to stop seizures for good. With time, patience, and taking care, lots of children outgrow epilepsy completely. Your love and support are strong medicine for her

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

HELLO, Your daughter has epilepsy , which means there is abnormal electrical activity in a small area of the brain, leading to repeated seizures Because her seizures are focal, it means -only one part of the brain is involved -she may remain partly aware -seizures happen mostly, not daily -medicines have helped partially, but not full WHY SEIZURES KEEP COMING? The brain has nerve cells that communicate using electrical signals. In epilepsy -These signals become too fast, irregular, and uncontrolled -The brain temporarily loses balance -this causes shaking, staring, confusion or other seizure signs In Ayurveda, epilepsy Is called Apasmara WHAT APASMARA MEANS -Apa= loss -Smara= awareness So Apasmara means temporary loss of awareness due to imbalance in brain and mind functions DOSHA INVOLVEMENT IN YOUR DAUGHTER -Vata Dosha= sudden movements, nerve firing, seizures -Pitta dosha (associated)-> brain irritation, heat, electrical instability -Mind channels affected -Ojas (brain immunity and strength) becomes weak This explains -recurrent seizures -incomplete response to mediicnes -emotional sensitivty sometimes seen in children with epilepsy TREATMENT GOALS -reduce seizure frequency -reduce seizure intensity -stabilize brain electrical activty -strengthen nerves and brain tissue -improve memory, learning, and emotional stability -support modern anti epileptic mediicnes -prevent future worsening INTERNAL MEDICATIONS A) BRAIN NOURISHING MEDICINES These medicines -calm excessive nerve firing, improve coordination between brain cells, increase brain stability -BRAHMI VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals improves nerve control, reduces seizure tendency -SHANKHAPUSHPI SYRUP= 1 tsp twice dialy after meals calms mind, improvs awareness Because epilepsy is not just seizures, but brain instability -KALYANAK GHRITA = 5-10 ml with warm milk once daily =brain tissue is fatty-> ghee nourishes it directly -helps mediicnes cross the blood-brain barrier -reduces main seizure cause DURATION= usually 3-6 months EXTERNAL THERAPY 1) NASYA= instil 2 drops of Brahmi ghrita in each nostril daily morning =regulates brain activity, reduces seizure triggers, improves clarity and alertness LIFESTYLE CHANGES SLEEP -fixed bedtime and wake time -adequate night sleep -no late night screen exposure SCREEN EXPOSURE -avoid flashing lights -Limit TV, mobile, video games STRESS -calm home environment -avoid pressure, shouting, fear YYOGA AND PRANAYAM -anulom vilom= balances nervous system -Bhramari= calming for brain -simple meditation Short, regular practice is better than long sessions DIET -fresh home cooked meals -warm meals -cow’s ghee -milk warm -almonds soaked and peeled -fruits like apple, pomegranate Regular meal timing is crucial AVOID -junk food -chocolates -cold drinks -aritifical colors -very spicy or fermented food HOME SUPPORTIVE MEASURES -oil massage weekly -maintain. seizure dairy -keep child hydrate -avoid fasting or skipping meals CURE IS GRADUAL, NOT OVERNIGHT You. are not wrong to seek additional help Ayurveda works deeply and slowly Best results come when -neurologist + ayurvedic work together -treatment is regular -lifestyle is disciplined Your child is not weak-> her brain just needs better balance and support DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. Hello Seziures are described as MAHAAGAD in ayurveda. It cannot be promissed that she will have a seziure free life but with medication we can surely prolog the episode apperance and also shorten the time. Remember DONOT abruptly discontinue her allopathy medicines as that may worsen her condition. Slow tapering of the dose with the physician consultation is must. 🧘‍♀️ Anulomvilom and Bhramari Pranayam will help. do it early in the morning only. ❌ Avoid tea or coffee or aerated drinks. ❌ Reduce screen time… No screen in darkness and 1 hour before you sleep. Consume audio form of data rather than visuals before you sleep. Filter the content of data you consume… ✔️ Drink a glass of buffalo milk daily before you sleep; it will help you get a sound sleep. ✔️ 100 steps after both meals are must. ✔️ Eat only home cooked food… Avoid outside food, packed and processed food. ✔️ Prefer natural liquids like fruit juice, coconut water, lemon juice, kokum sharbat over packed ones. 💊 Medication: 💊 Panchendriya Vardhan Tailam 2 drops in each nostril early in the morning empty stomach. Cap. Memorin(S.G.Phytopharma) 2 caps twice a day before food. Syp. Suvarna yukt Saraswatariahta 3 tsp twice a day after food Syp. Prasham 4 tsp at bed time with lukewarm water. Tab. Manasmitra Vatak 2 tabs at bed time.
