Hello Thanks for the detailed message about your exercises; that’s great for dealing with bradykinesia. But dont worry we are here to help you out 😊

YOUR CONCERN

–Age: 75 –Bradykinesia in your left arm –Been that way for 5–6 years –It’s mild and under control with meds –You get regular exercise –You’re taking neuro medicines –Tried homeopathy, but no luck

This points to: –Kampa Vata / Vata Vyadhi (Parkinson’s stuff) –Majja Dhatu Kshaya (nerve tissue breaking down) –Vata becoming more dominant as you age –The problem is in a stable, early to mid phase

Bradykinesia / Parkinson’s-like issues: –Can’t be fixed for good by anything –But can be managed pretty well –The problem can be slowed down a lot –You can still have a good life for years –Being mild and manageable after 5–6 years is a really good sign.

AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

INTERNAL MEDICATION

1.Ashwagandha Capsule Take 1 twice a day after meals (Protects nerves, slows things down)

2.Brahmi Capsule Take 1 in the morning (Good for nerve signals and coordination)

3.Kapikacchu (Kaunch Beej) Take 1 twice a day (Natural source of L-Dopa, helps with bradykinesia)

4 Maharasnadi Kashaya 15 ml with warm water morning and night (Eases stiffness, helps with movement)

EXTERNAL CARE (Really help with Parkinson’s)

If you can (even once or twice a year): –Abhyanga (full body oil massage) –Shirodhara –Nasya with Anu Taila

These calm down Vata in your nervous system.

DAILY HABIT (Super important) You’re already exercising – awesome. Add: –Daily walks –Hand exercises –Easy yoga –Listening to music –Writing, puzzles, memory games

These keep your brain active.

Diet to Protect Your Nerves

✅Include: -Cow ghee – 1 tsp a day –Soaked almonds (5) –Walnuts (2) –Milk at night –Moong dal –Warm cooked food

❌Avoid: –Really dry food –Too much fasting –Cold food/drinks –Staying up late –Stress

About Homeopathy If it hasn’t helped after 6 months, it’s okay to stop. Parkinson’s issues don’t usually respond well to it.

CAN YOU STOP THE PROBLEM FROM GETTING WORSE? Yes, usually it can be slowed way down. With: – Regular treatment from your neurologist – Ayurveda Rasayana – Daily exercise –A chill routine

You’re already doing what matters most – being consistent. Don’t look for miracle cures. They don’t exist for this issue.

But with good Ayurveda support and your dedication: You can have a normal, busy life for many years. That’s a win in itself with Parkinson’s problems.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

1.Ashwagandha capsules 2 cap twice daily with warm milk after meals 2.Saraswatarishta 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals 3.Ekanga veer rasa 1 tab twice daily with water after meals 4.Balarishta 15 ml with 15 ml water twice daily after meals 5.Bala taila- massage with warm oil twice daily followed by hot fomentation

Ayurvedic Diet Tips for Bradykinesia - Easily digestible foods: Favor warm, cooked meals like khichdi, vegetable soups, and lightly spiced stews to reduce ama (toxins). - Warming spices: Ginger, black pepper, turmeric, cinnamon, and cumin help stimulate metabolism and circulation. - Healthy fats: Ghee, sesame oil, and flaxseed oil nourish the nervous system and support joint mobility. - Protein sources: Lentils, mung beans, and milk-based preparations (like paneer or buttermilk) for strength. - Avoid: Heavy, oily, fried foods, excess dairy, refined sugar, and cold/raw meals that aggravate sluggishness. - Hydration: Warm water or herbal teas (ginger, tulsi, brahmi) throughout the day to keep channels clear.

Daily Routine (Dinacharya): - Yoga & Stretching: Gentle asanas like Tadasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana help maintain flexibility. - Pranayama: Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) and Bhramari (humming breath) calm the nervous system and improve oxygenation. - Sunlight exposure: Morning sunlight supports Vitamin D and mood regulation. - Regular sleep: Early bedtime (around 10 pm) and waking before sunrise stabilize circadian rhythm.

Movement & Activity - Daily walks: Short, frequent walks with mindful pacing help counteract slowness. - Rhythmic activities: Dancing, clapping, or chanting can stimulate motor coordination. - Hand exercises: Simple mudras (like Gyan Mudra) and finger tapping improve dexterity.

Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

GOOD MORNING AND NAMASTE THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR HEALTH DETAILS WITH SUCH CLARITY AND DISCIPLINE AT YOUR AGE OF SEVENTY FIVE AND WITH THIS CONDITION PRESENT FOR FIVE TO SIX YEARS AND STILL REMAINING MILD AND CONTROLLED IT CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THE DISEASE IS SLOW PROGRESSING AND WELL MANAGED

BRADYKINESIA RELATED TO PARKINSONIAN CONDITIONS CANNOT BE COMPLETELY REMOVED BY ANY PATHY INCLUDING AYURVEDA OR HOMEOPATHY HOWEVER IT CAN BE WELL CONTROLLED AND ITS PROGRESSION CAN BE SLOWED TO A GREAT EXTENT THE AIM OF TREATMENT IS TO MAINTAIN STABILITY PRESERVE INDEPENDENCE AND PREVENT WORSENING WITH AGE

YOU ARE ALREADY DOING THE MOST IMPORTANT THERAPY WHICH IS DAILY EXERCISE REGULAR MOVEMENT STRETCHING WALKING AND ARM EXERCISES PROTECT THE NERVOUS SYSTEM MORE THAN ANY MEDICINE PLEASE CONTINUE THIS WITHOUT FAIL

FROM AN AYURVEDIC POINT OF VIEW THIS CONDITION IS RELATED TO VATA DOSHA INCREASE DUE TO AGE AND WEAKENING OF NERVOUS TISSUE TREATMENT SHOULD BE GENTLE NOURISHING AND VATA PACIFYING STRONG CLEANSING THERAPIES ARE NOT ADVISED AT THIS AGE

YOU CAN CONTINUE YOUR NEUROLOGIST MEDICINES AS THEY ARE KEEPING YOU STABLE AND SHOULD NOT BE STOPPED OR CHANGED WITHOUT MEDICAL SUPERVISION

AYURVEDIC SUPPORTIVE MEDICINES WHICH CAN BE TAKEN ALONG WITH YOUR CURRENT TREATMENT ARE ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA THREE GRAMS AT NIGHT WITH WARM MILK BRAHMI VATI ONE TABLET TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD MAHA YOGARAJ GUGGULU ONE TABLET TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD KSHIRABALA CAPSULE ONE CAPSULE TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD OR DAILY GENTLE OIL MASSAGE TO THE LEFT ARM

DIET SHOULD BE WARM FRESH AND NOURISHING AVOID DRY COLD AND LEFTOVER FOOD USE A SMALL AMOUNT OF GHEE DAILY PROTECT YOUR BODY FROM COLD ESPECIALLY THE AFFECTED ARM

BASED ON YOUR CURRENT STATUS THE POSSIBILITY OF RAPID SPREAD IS LOW WITH CONTINUED EXERCISE DISCIPLINE AND PROPER SUPPORT YOU CAN MAINTAIN A GOOD QUALITY OF LIFE FOR MANY YEARS

THIS IS A CONDITION TO BE MANAGED WITH AWARENESS AND REGULARITY AYURVEDA CAN SUPPORT STRENGTH AND SLOW PROGRESSION ALONG WITH YOUR EXISTING TREATMENT

Namaste and good morning to you I am glad you reached out and I truly respect the discipline and patience with which you have been handling your health for so many years what you are experiencing as bradykinesia mainly affecting the left arm for the past five to six years at the age of seventy five is something I see quite often in elderly patients and it reflects a long standing vata dominant neurological condition which in modern terms is described as Parkinsonian disorder the fact that it has remained limited and controlled for so many years shows that your body still has good strength and adaptability and that your efforts with exercise and regular treatment are playing an important role

I want to speak to you very honestly and in a supportive manner like a physician sitting in front of you and not give you false hopes or fear this condition once it has started cannot be completely removed from the body whether it is through allopathy Ayurveda or homeopathy because it develops due to age related degeneration of nervous tissues and imbalance of vata dosha in the body but at the same time it is important for you to understand that this does not mean that your life quality will continuously go down or that the disease will definitely spread rapidly many people live for decades with good control when they respect the nature of the disease and support the body properly

From an Ayurvedic understanding old age itself is a vata predominant phase of life and when vata affects majja dhatu and snayu it leads to slowness stiffness tremors weakness and imbalance of movements which you are experiencing as bradykinesia the medicines prescribed by your neurologist are meant to support dopamine activity and reduce symptoms and you should never stop or alter them on your own because sudden changes can worsen stiffness slowness and balance problems your daily exercise is one of the strongest medicines for you and it is probably the main reason why your condition has not worsened significantly in all these years so please continue it lifelong without thinking of stopping even on days when you feel slightly tired gentle movement is always better than complete rest in this condition

Regarding homeopathy since you have taken it regularly for six months without noticeable benefit it is reasonable to accept that it is not giving you the desired support and there is no need to burden your body or your mind with something that is not helping this disease needs long term nourishing stabilizing and vata pacifying care rather than only symptomatic treatment

What you should focus on now is preventing further vata aggravation and maintaining strength of nerves muscles joints digestion and mind digestion and sleep play a big role in neurological health constipation gas bloating dryness of body poor sleep anxiety and fear all increase vata and can worsen slowness and stiffness so your routine should support regular bowel movement daily warm food proper hydration and calm sleep avoid cold dry food excess raw salads bakery items packaged food excess tea coffee and irregular meal timings dinner should be early and light and preferably warm

Ayurveda can support you well as a companion therapy not as a replacement for your neurologist medicines in your age nourishing rasayana type medicines are more important than strong detox procedures oil massage to the body especially the affected arm neck shoulders and joints using warm medicated oil like mahanarayana taila or dhanwantaram taila helps calm vata improves circulation and reduces stiffness this can be done daily or at least three to four times a week followed by warm water bath this alone makes a difference in elderly vata disorders

Internally medicines like ashwagandha in small dose at night support nerve strength muscle tone and sleep brahmi or mandukaparni support brain and nervous system stability dashamoola preparations help reduce vata in deeper tissues these should always be taken in appropriate dose suited to your digestion and age and under guidance so that they do not cause heaviness or indigestion ghee in small quantity daily acts as a natural vata pacifier and nourisher of nervous tissue

Breathing exercises slow deep breathing gentle pranayama and mental relaxation are important because fear of disease progression itself worsens symptoms you have already shown that your disease is slow progressing and well controlled for many years which is a positive sign many patients with aggressive disease worsen within two to three years that has not happened with you so your body response is good you must trust that and not let anxiety dominate your thoughts

To answer your main concern you may not be able to completely get rid of this disease but yes you can keep it controlled stable and slow progressing and live with good independence if you continue your medicines exercises correct daily routine diet oil therapy and supportive Ayurvedic care the aim is not cure but stability comfort dignity and quality of life which is achievable

Parkinsonism is progressive and not curable at present (allopathic or Ayurvedic). But it can be very well controlled for many years with proper treatment, exercise & lifestyle

Pramipexole + Syndopa Plus is standard & good for mild symptoms. Continue as prescribed – do not stop or change without neurologist.

Ayurvedic Supportive Plan 1 Kapikacchu Churna – 3 gm morning + night with warm water (natural L-dopa source, supports dopamine & movement) 2 Ashwagandha Lehyam – 5–10 gm night with warm milk (reduces stiffness, improves energy & mood) 3 Ekangveer Ras – 1 tablet morning + night with warm water (excellent for unilateral bradykinesia & nerve strength) 4 Maharasnadi Kwath – 15 ml + 45 ml warm water morning empty stomach (reduces Vata stiffness & pain)

Daily Must-Do Continue your exercises – add specific Parkinson’s exercises (Big & Loud program, LSVT BIG if available) Warm Mahamasha Taila massage on left arm & whole body 10 min nightly followed by hot water bag Anulom-Vilom + Bhramari pranayama 10 min daily (calms mind & supports dopamine) Sleep 10 PM – 6 AM strictly

Diet Keep balanced – add daily: soaked almonds (4–6), black sesame seeds 1 tsp, ghee 1–2 tsp in meals, pomegranate Avoid: cold food/drinks, excessive caffeine, late dinner

Regular neurologist follow-up every 3–6 months (adjust PD meds as needed) Homeopathy gave no relief – stop it if no benefit Start Kapikacchu + Ashwagandha + oil massage today, symptoms will stay manageable longer.
