HELLO, Chronic anal spasms(often related to conditions like proctalgia Fugax, Levator ani syndrome, or chronic anal fissure) occur due to hypertonicity of the anal sphincter muscles, and aggravated vata imbalace in Ayurveda. –From an Ayurveda perspective, anal spasms are often related to aggravated Vata Dosha affecting the anal region, sometimes associated with conditions like Parikartika. Management focuses on calming Vata through warm sitz baths, oil-based local treatments, gentle diet regulation, and herbal support. Therapies like medicated oil application or basti (therapeutic enemas) may help. –Rx: 1)Triphala Guggulu – 2 tabs BD after meals with Luke warm water. 2)Gandharva Haritaki – 1–2 tsp HS with Luke warm water. 3)Jatyadi Taila – local application per rectum BD. —Panchkarma: -Avagaha Sweda (warm sitz bath) – 10–15 min BD. -Matra Basti with Dashmoola Taila – 40–60 ml PR daily × 5–7 days. -Anuvasana Basti if persistent Vata symptoms. -----Diet & Advice: Warm, soft, fiber-rich diet. Avoid spicy, dry, and constipating foods. Adequate warm water intake. Avoid straining during defecation. -----Follow-up: 7–10 days.

Namaste, Since Botox has helped temporarily but spasms return, there are other ways to support relief alongside medical care. Simple measures you can try: Warm sitz baths 2–3 times daily to relax muscles. Gentle massage of the anal area with warm sesame oil. Keep stools soft with plenty of warm water and easily digestible food. Avoid straining during bowel movements. Gentle yoga and relaxation can reduce pelvic tension. Sometimes herbal medicines or mild Ayurvedic therapies can support muscle relaxation, but these need personalised guidance. Because your spasms return after Botox, a consultation is important to plan a longer-term approach combining lifestyle, diet, and safe supportive therapies.
