I have been experiencing persistent swelling around my thigh. Could you advise if there is medication available to address this and to help reduce excess fat in the thigh region? Additionally, I have been experiencing intermittent nausea and vomiting. I would appreciate it if you could evaluate these symptoms together.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms suggest a combination of Kapha–Medo dushti (fat metabolism imbalance) along with Ama (toxin accumulation from weak digestion). Persistent thigh swelling + fatigue + digestive disturbance + food-triggered nausea/vomiting indicates that the root is likely impaired Agni (digestive fire) leading to toxin buildup and fluid/fat retention in tissues. However, because swelling is long-standing (6+ months) and nausea/vomiting is present, it is important to also rule out medical causes like lymphatic blockage, liver/kidney imbalance, or vascular issues through a physician check-up. Ayurvedic Approach 1. Digestive correction (most important) Take Trikatu churna (dry ginger + black pepper + long pepper) in small dose with warm water before meals (improves Agni) Sip ginger + ajwain water during the day to reduce nausea and bloating 2. For swelling & fat metabolism Triphala churna at night with warm water (gentle detox + bowel regulation) Guggulu-based formulations (like Medohar Guggulu) can help reduce localized fat & swelling, but should be taken 3. Diet correction Avoid: oily, fried, heavy, packaged foods, cold drinks, excess sugar, dairy at night Prefer: warm, light meals (khichdi, soups, steamed vegetables) Eat small, frequent meals instead of heavy portions 4. Lifestyle Daily brisk walking 30–40 min Gentle thigh massage with warm sesame oil (improves circulation) Avoid long sitting or inactivity

Thigh ki swelling ko sirf fat samajhkar medicine lena safe nahi hai. 6 mahine se swelling, fatigue aur nausea-vomiting ke saath Kapha-Meda vriddhi + Ama/Agnimandya ho sakta hai, lekin pehle Doppler ultrasound aur basic blood tests se clot/venous, thyroid, kidney-liver cause rule out karna zaroori hai. —Pathya: halka garam khana, moong dal, lauki/tori, barley/millet, warm water. —Avoid: dahi raat me, fried/maida, cold drinks, excess salt, heavy dairy, overeating. —Investigations advised: Venous Doppler USG of affected lower limb CBC, esr,crp Lft,kft,tsh Fasting blood sugar / HbA1c Urine routine If vomiting persists: USG abdomen –Rx — 15 days 1) Punarnavadi Kwath 20 ml + 20 ml warm water BD before food 2) Trikatu Churna 1 g BD after food with warm water Avoid if acidity/burning is present. 3) Arogyavardhini Vati 1 tab BD after food 4) Avipattikar Churna 3 g HS with lukewarm water Hingvastak Churna 1 g with first bite of lunch and dinner If gas/bloating/indigestion is present. —Lifestyle: Brisk walk 30 min daily as tolerated Leg elevation 15–20 min twice daily Avoid long sitting/standing Gentle udvartana can be done if no pain/redness/skin issue

Persistent thigh swelling with nausea/vomiting should not be ignored because causes can include muscle inflammation, lymphatic swelling, venous issues, infection, lipoma, obesity-related edema, hypothyroid, kidney/liver issues, or gastritis. If swelling is only one-sided, painful, red, hot, or associated with fever/breathlessness, immediate medical evaluation is important. Take For swelling, heaviness, excess thigh fat: Punarnavadi Kashayam 15 ml + equal warm water twice daily before food Triphala Guggulu 2 tabs twice daily after food Varunadi Kashayam 15 ml twice daily before food if fatty swelling/heaviness present For nausea/vomiting: 4. Avipattikar Churna 3 gm at night with warm water Ginger juice + honey small quantity twice daily External: Warm Kottamchukkadi Taila massage on thigh followed by mild hot fomentation Diet Avoid fried food, curd, bakery items, cold drinks Reduce sugar and excess salt Warm light meals only Use barley, green gram, old rice Daily walking and stretching
