Dust allergy ke lakshan bahut takleefdeh ho sakte hain. Aapke symptoms ke hisaab se, ye kapha dosha aur pitta dosha ki imbalance ka sanket ho sakta hai. Pehle to, dhool se door rehna bahut zaroori hai. Agar possible ho to ghar aur kaam ki jagah ko regularly vacuum kare aur saaf sutra rakhein. Mask ka istemaal karein agar bahar jaana zaroori ho.

Diet main kuch parivartan karke bhi symptoms main madad mil sakti hai. Apne ahar mein garam (warming) aur sukhane wale (drying) elements ko shamil karein. Jaise ki, masale wale soups, haldi wala doodh lo. Thandi aur chipchipi cheeze jise dahi, ice cream, ya to over-cooked dal se door rahein, kyonki ye kapha ko badhate hain.

Her tea ke roop mein, mulethi aur tulsi ki chai din mein do baar lene ka prayas karein. Ye shwasan tantra ko shant karne aur allergy reactions ko kam karne mein madad karegi.

Nasya kriya bhi ek anukool prakriya ho sakti hai. Isme aap apni naak mein kuch neem ke patte ka tail ya anu taila daal sakta hai, par yeh doctor ki salah se karein. Isse naak ki sukhapan aur allergy response ko manage karne mein madad milti hai.

Ayurvedic dravyaguna mein, haridra (haldi) ke capsules le sakte hain, par yeh sirf doctor ki salah ke adhar par hi lein. Haldi mein anti-inflammatory properties hoti hain, jo allergy aur swasthya lo se kam kar sakti hain.

Aasan karne se bhi fayda milta hai: bhujangasana aur dhanurasana jaise yoga postures ka daily abhyaas vata aur kapha balance karte hai. Meditation aur pranayam bhi sahayak ho sakte hain. Omkar chanting se man ko shant kar sakte hain jo indirectly immune system ko majboot banata hai.

Yadi stithi adhik chikitsa aur upchar maangti hai, to bina deri kare kis 전문 car ya doctor se salaah baithak lejye. Bhagwan Vishnu se prarthan hai aapse jaldi swasth ho.

According to Ayurveda, a dust allergy, which often presents with symptoms like watery eyes, is considered a reaction to an imbalance in the body’s doshas, particularly Kapha. Kapha is associated with the elements of water and earth, and an excess of it can lead to symptoms like watery eyes, a runny nose, and congestion. The core of Ayurvedic treatment for allergies is not just to manage the symptoms but to address the root cause, which is often a weakened digestive fire (Agni) and the accumulation of toxins (Ama) in the body.

Ayurvedic Remedies and Practices Ayurvedic remedies for dust allergies focus on a holistic approach that includes diet, lifestyle changes, and herbal treatments.

Dietary Modifications: Following a specific diet is crucial. Avoid certain foods: Ayurveda recommends avoiding Kapha-aggravating foods that can increase mucus and congestion. This includes dairy products, cold and oily foods, processed foods, and fermented items. Include beneficial foods: It’s advised to eat warm, light, and easily digestible foods. Adding spices like ginger, turmeric, and cumin to your diet can help improve digestion. Lifestyle Changes and Therapies: Nasya Therapy: This involves administering medicated oils or ghee into the nostrils. It’s a key treatment for respiratory allergies as it helps clear nasal passages, lubricates them, and balances the doshas. Steam Inhalation: Inhaling steam, sometimes with added herbs like eucalyptus or mint, helps to moisten the nasal passages and relieve congestion. Pranayama and Yoga: Breathing exercises and specific yoga poses can help strengthen the respiratory system and improve immunity. Hydration: Drinking plenty of warm water helps flush out toxins and keeps mucous membranes moist. These treatments aim to not only relieve symptoms like watery eyes but also to improve overall immunity and prevent future allergic reactions by restoring the balance of the body’s doshas.

Dust allergy symptoms, like the ones you’re describing, can often be linked to an imbalance in Vata and Kapha doshas. It’s causing excess mucus production and aggravating sensitivities. To manage these symptoms holistically, focus on dry foods and warm, light meals that balance Kapha and stabilize Vata.

Start incorporating ginger in your routine; its warming properties help in reducing Kapha. You can prepare a ginger tea by boiling 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger in a cup of water, allowing it to simmer, and then straining. Have this once or twice daily.

For maintaining clear nasal passages, consider doing a nasal rinse with warm saline water once a day. This helps in preventing dust accumulation in the nasal cavity. Gently mix 1/4 teaspoon of salt in warm water, use a neti pot for better application, not more than once a day.

Triphala can also be quite beneficial; it aids in detox and balance of the doshas. You could take Triphala churna, half a teaspoon at bedtime with warm water. This is known to enhance digestion and remove toxins.

Avoid dairy products during times of acute symptoms as they can increase mucus production, causing more cough and congestion. Also, cut down on cold foods and drinks.

If symptoms persist or worsen, like difficulty breathing or severe coughing fits, seek immediate medical attention to rule out any serious issue. The key is listening to your body’s responses and adjusting accordingly. Regularly practicing yoga and pranayama like Anulom Vilom can help in maintaining a balanced dosha and respiratory health.

HELLO DURGESH,

The complaints you mentioned -recurrent sneezing -runny nose watery discharge -watery eyes with irritation -cough formation ----all together indicate a condition similar to allergic rhinits in modern terms

In Ayurveda, this condition is related to “vata-kapha imbalance” with underlying low immunity(Ojas kshaya) -dust, pollen, smoke, cold air, perfumes, etc trigger kapha aggravation in the nasal passages -Weak digestion and lifestyle errors reduce body resistance-> making the body hypersensitive to minor triggers -The watery secretions, sneezing, eye watering are due to excess kapha + vata stimulation

So, treatment is not just to stop symptoms temporarily but to -pacify kapha (reduce excess mucus, water discharge, heaviness) -balance vata (stabilise in nervous system, reduce sneezing reflex, hypersensitivity) -Strengthen digestive fire and immunity to prevent recurrence

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) HARIDRA KHANDA CHURNA= 1 tsp twice daily with warm milk =anti allergic, immunity booster, reduces sneezing and itching

2) SHITOPALADI + TALISADI CHURNA= 2gm each with honey twice daily after meals =for cough, sneezing, throat irritation, congestion

3) GUDUCHI TABLETS= 500mg tab twice daily after meals =immunee modulators, prevents recurrence

4) TRIKATU CHURNA= 1 gm with honey twice daily before emals =improves metabolism, burns excess kapha

DURATION= 6-12 weeks of regular use

EXTERNAL TREATMENT

1) NASYA= Anu taila= 2 drops in each nostril daily morning after lukewarm water gargle =cleanses nasal passage, protects from dust, strengthens local immunity

2) STEAM INHALATION = with ajwain or eucalyptus leaves- clears blocked sinuses, prevents cough formation

DIET AND LIFESTYLE -drink lukewarm water throughout the day -use turmeric milk at night -add spices like ginger, black pepper, cinnamon in daily food -practice morning sunlight exposure -keep living area dust free, avoid cold carpets, stuffed toys

AVOID -cold drinks, ice creams, curd, banana, heavy fried and refrigerated food -excess sweets and dairy -daytime sleeping and late night wakefulness -sudden exposure to cold air/dusty environment

YOGA AND PRANAYAM -Anulom vilom= balances vata and kapha improves nasal flow -bhramari= reduces hypersensitivity and calms nervous system -kapalbhati= clears sinuses

YOGASANAS -bhujangasana -dhanurasana -setu bandhasana =improve lung capacity

HOME REMEDIES -turmeric + honey paste (1/2 tsp turmeric with 1 tsp honey ) daily -tulsi-ginger tea with black pepper -warm saline water gargle for throat and nasal wash -chewing 2-3 black peppercorns in morning with honey -steam inhalation with ajwian

-Your condition is not dangerous, but it is chronic and recurrent if left unmanaged -Ayurveda focuses on symtpoms relief + root cause correction -with internal medicine + nasya + lifestyle correction, most patients see 70-90% improvement within 6-8 weks -Long term the goal is that you can tolerate dust/pollen without strong allergic reaction

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

DR. MAITRI ACHARYA
