Also to add since this urticaria and my face swelling I have lost confidence completely. I have never had tablets for such a long time it’s been 3months on continuous medications feels like i am lost. At times i like to isolate myself and cannot concentrate on work now. It has changed me completely I am not how i used to be

Thank you for answering. It can be completely taken care by Ayurveda mainly panchakarma procedure, which involves proper cleansing of the system followed by appropriate rejuvenation using ayurveda medicines. So I would suggest you to consult a nearby ayurveda doctor who is an experience panchakrama specialist. Having said that, you may have to avoid the food which is causing allergic reactions since long time like maida, pav mainly. Take care, Kind regards.

Thankyou Doctor for your expertise! So it is because of gut issue and not the diet like eggs and gym supplements

With chronic urticaria and angioedema, the symptoms you’re experiencing can have a strong linkage to gut health. According to Ayurveda, such conditions can be linked to imbalances in the doshas, particularly Pitta due to its association with heat and inflammation, and possibly the Kapha due to its mucosal and swelling elements. A digestive imbalance or poor digestive fire (Agni) can indeed contribute to your symptoms, and it seems diet is having a significant impact here.

Firstly, it will be crucial to address the digestive issues and potential food reactions. Since you’re experiencing reactions from chicken eggs and protein sources, omitting or limiting these from your diet makes sense — at least until symptoms improve. Opt for easily digestible proteins like mung dal (which is lighter on digestion) in small quantities to test your tolerance. Increasing fiber intake with foods such as steamed vegetables and whole grains like quinoa or amaranth could aid constipation.

As a daily routine, drinking warm water with a pinch of ginger in the morning might help to ignite Agni and promote digestion. Considerations for herbal support like Triphala churna before bedtime can help alleviate constipation and promote regular bowel movements. In case of mild reactions, consuming a thin licorice tea may help soothe inflammation due to its cooling, anti-inflammatory properties.

Stress can exacerbate these symptoms; practicing Yoga or Pranayama (breathing exercises) can help balance the body-mind connection, reducing stress-induced urticaria.

Given you have used antihistamines with partial relief, continue them under medical advice, especially in an emergency. Moreover, ongoing Ayurveda treatment should be discussed with a qualified Ayurvedic physician, adapting these suggestions to your individual Prakriti and current health state.

It’s vital to monitor your symptoms carefully, particularly when eliminating and reintroducing foods, and remain under supervision for any severe reactions or flare-ups as immediate medical care might be necessary.

Chronic urticaria and angioedema may indeed be influenced by digestive health, particularly in Ayurveda, which emphasizes the connection between digestion (agni) and skin disorders. What you’re experiencing could show an imbalance of pitta dosha, which, when combined with low digestive fire, can lead to the build-up of toxins (ama) in the body.

To address the chronic urticaria, you might want to start with a simple dietary shift. Try avoiding triggering foods like eggs or excessive high-protein sources that you’ve noticed worsen the symptoms. You could also limit overly spicy, sour, and fermented foods, as they can increase pitta and contribute to skin issues. Focus on easily digestible foods, such as well-cooked vegetables, whole grains, and foods with cooling properties like cucumber and cilantro.

Further, supporting your digestive system is crucial. Drinking warm water throughout the day can help, as well as incorporating a triphala supplement before bed to aid with constipation and promote bowel regularity. And performing a short yoga asana routine with gentle twists might support digestive health by stimulating digestive organs.

Keep an eye on stress levels as they can exacerbate symptoms, though not the direct cause. Practice daily calming activities like meditation or pranayama to help balance your overall energy. If symptoms persist or worsen, it would be sensible to seek immediate medical attention, as angioedema, in particular, can sometimes develop into serious situations if not treated properly.
