Stammering in public speaking, especially when accompanied by dry mouth and anxiety, indicates elevated Vata dosha, often aggregated by nervous tensions. Bloddy circulation that enhances Pitta can also create saliva dryness. Such symptoms align with an imbalance in Vata-Pitta prakriti (constitution), that amplifies under stress. Addressing them holistically through Ayurveda can offer relief.

First, to stabilize the Vata dosha, grounding and calming practices are key. Try to engage in deep breathing exercises (pranayama) like Nadi Shodhana every day for at least 10 minutes. This practice helps to pacify Vata and can reduce anxiety levels, grounding the mind before social engagements.

From a dietary perspective, emphasize warm, moist, and easily digestible foods since these counteract the dryness and irregularity of Vata. Incorporate foods rich in natural oils, such as ghee, avocados, and nuts, which will help balance Vata and nourish your body’s tissues. Hydration is also vital—you should drink lukewarm water throughout the day to encourage saliva production, but avoid caffeine and alcohol, as they contribute to dehydration.

Incorporating herbs that calm the nervous system, such as Ashwagandha and Brahmi, may also provide support, taken as per dosage recommendations from an Ayurvedic practitioner. These herbs are praised for their adaptogenic properties that help the body manage stress better.

You mentioned avoiding exercises due to your body’s heat; mild and soothing physical activities like yoga, particularly Pitta-pacifying poses such as forward bends and twists, can be beneficial. Practicing in a cool environment and focusing on slow, steady movements will help regulate your body heat and maintain balance without elevating Pitta.

For allergies, understand potential triggers in your environment or diet; common allergens must be minimized. Regular steam inhalation (using eucalyptus or camphor essential oils) may provide relief from respiratory discomfort associated with allergies.

If the symptoms persist or severely impair your daily interactions, consulting a specialized practitioner for tailored Ayurvedic treatments would be advisable.

Stammering during public speaking, especially when accompanied by dry mouth, indicates an imbalance in the vata dosha, which is responsible for movement and communication in the body. Your symptoms also suggest excess heat or pitta imbalance, contributing to dryness and possibly allergies. Addressing these dosha imbalances may provide relief.

First, consider incorporating practices to calm vata and balance pitta. Begin with nasal oil application to ease dryness. Anu taila can be gently applied in the nostrils each morning to lubricate and soothe. Additionally, Triphala churna, taken at night in warm water, can improve digestion and support overall body balance. Since your body feels hot, avoiding spicy and heating foods will help. Opt for cooling foods like cucumber, sweet fruits, and leafy greens.

Hydration is crucial too. Drink warm water throughout the day - avoid cold drinks as they disrupt digestion. For exercise, engage in light activities like walking or gentle yoga that don’t overheat the body. Breathing exercises, such as Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), can stabilize vata and calm the mind.

For saliva production and to combat dryness, chew fennel seeds or cardamom gently after meals. If allergies continue to impact, you may explore local honey, taken in moderation, to desensitize to allergens over time. However, ongoing symptoms, especially if significantly impacting your life, may require a consult with a healthcare professional specializing in Ayurveda to tailor the approach further. Give importance to calming routines and consistent lifestyle adjustments to make lasting changes.
