what to do for late periods home remedies - #25599

Christopher

I am really worried because my periods are late, and this never happens to me. Like, I’m usually super regular, and now, it's been almost two weeks. I’ve tried looking up what to do for late periods home remedies, but honestly, everything I find feels kinda overwhelming… I started this new job and have been super stressed lately, and maybe that’s why? I tried drinking ginger tea, heard it can help but nothing happened. Also, there’s this weird pulling sensation in my abdomen sometimes, but no cramps or anything, just really confusing. Anyway, I wanna know what to do for late periods home remedies that might actually work! Would things like cinnamon or certain herbs really help bring them on? Also, does stress really affect periods? Ugh, it’s just so frustrating, I feel like I'm all over the place here. Do you think I should just wait longer, or is it worth trying something else?

When it comes to late periods, several factors could contribute, including stress, which you mentioned. Stress indeed plays a signficiant role as it can affect your menstrual cycle by influencing hormones. Start by trying to address the stress factor with some simple lifestyle changes. Ensuring good sleep, practicing yoga or meditation, and also gentle breathing exercises can be beneficial.

You’re curious about home remedies, and in Ayurveda, certain herbs and foods are believed to help balance hormones and possibly aid in regularizing menstrual cycles. Cinnamon, for instance, has warming qualities that could promote menstrual flow. You could try adding half a teaspoon of cinnamon to your meals or taking it as a tea daily for a few days. Soak a cinnamon stick in boiling water for around 10 minutes, and drink it warm.

Another herb, Ashwagandha, is known for its ability to help manage stress. Consuming Ashwagandha powder (about 1 teaspoon) with warm milk before bed might help regulate your cycle. Keeping Agni or digestive fire strong is also important—consume warm, cooked foods, staying away from cold or processed foods, which might disrupt your digestion and hormones.

Additionally, certain seeds like sesame are considered helpful in Ayurveda. A small handful of roasted sesame seeds taken with honey before breakfast can be tried for a few days.

Be mindful, though, some remedies might not suit everyone, considering individual dosha imbalances or underlying issues. Since you mentioned a pulling sensation in your abdomen, it could be beneficial to seek medical evaluation to rule out any possible issues that home remedies can’t address. If your period still doesn’t arrive or you experience more intense symptoms, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare provider for personalized guidance.

Lastly, maintain hydration and include nourishing, iron-rich foods in your diet like spinach or lentils. While waiting can be an option to see if your cycle normalizes it’s best to stay observant also. Remember, Ayurveda focuses on holistic balance, so maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle is truly effective in the long run.
