Hypothyroidism can indeed mess up a quite few things in the body. So, to help with the bloating and swelling, it's crucial to manage the vata and kapha doshas which are likely out of balance here. Start your day with a warm glass of water infused with a slice of ginger, it helps stimulate the agni or digestive fire. For diet, keep it warm, simple and nourishing. Warm cooked vegetables with a dash of black pepper and cumin could do wonders. Avoid cold, heavy foods and anything too greasy or hard to digest. They can increase kapha, making things worse.
Rashes might be a sign of pitta imbalance. Consume ingredients like aloe vera juice or amla powder, both of which cool the pitta. You can take a teaspoon of amla in warm water before breakfast. When it comes to weight gain, focusing on light exercises like yoga will support both your metabolism and your stress levels (stress messes up doshas too, right?).
Constipation can be a real hassle. An evening ritual of taking a teaspoon of triphala powder in warm water—this could really help keep things moving. But remember not to overdo it, or it may cause some discomfort itself.
Losing hair can be frustrating. Massaging your scalp with bhringraj oil will nurture your hair roots and improve circulation. Twice or thrice a week, should help get some shine and strength back.
If tiredness is an issue (oh I know it is with hypothyroidism), make sure you're getting proper rest and don’t skip meals. Eating on time helps sustain your energy levels. Include Ashwagandha in your routine; it’s a great adaptogen for reviving energy and reducing stress.
