Good evening Doctor,I'm looking for an ingredient with anti inflammatory action, seems to be named: Alemtar? which is used with Haldi and Yashtimadhu mixed in a gel for the skin, against acne. The ingredient you’re referring to might be “Alaet”—a common error when searching for Ayurvedic components. In Ayurveda, this would not typically be an herb you would pair with Haldi (Turmeric) and Yashtimadhu (Licorice) for their anti-inflammatory properties. Halois, combined with Yashtimadhu is renowned for reducing inflammation, soothing the skin, and addressing conditions like acne due to their potent anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Now, when it comes to using Aloe Vera gel as a base; it’s indeed appropriate and effective for creating an anti-acne blend. Aloe Vera has cooling, soothing, and moisturizing qualities, making it ideal for inflamed or irritated skin. To make a beneficial gel, you can mix one teaspoon of Haldi, and one teaspoon of Yashtimadhu powder and Aloe Vera gel. This creates a soothing, healing combination that can be applied directly to the affected areas. Leave it on the skin for about 15-20 minutes before gently rinsing with lukewarm water.

When selecting Aloe Vera gel, ensure it’s pure, without added chemicals or fragrances, which could irritate the skin. Opt for organic, if possible, to maximize the benefits. Be consistent with this application; try it once daily or every second day depending on your skin’s tolerance; this will help to reduce inflammations and clear the skin gradully.

However, it’s also essential to consider your Prakriti (constitution) and Vikriti (current imbalance) when using Ayurvedic treatments, as different dosha imbalances can manifest acne differently. For instance, if you have Pitta-dominant acne, with redness and inflammation, cooling treatments will help, but if Kapha is involved, addressing excess oil would also be necessary. Adjust your diet to pacify the dominant dosha involved can further enhance treatment outcomes.

Always do a patch test to ensure no allergic reactions occur, and if your skin condition worsens, it’s best to consult a healthcare professional for guidance.
