Doctors' responses

it sounds like balanoposthitis, likely fungal or mixed infection, which is common in elderly men, especially with diabetes. Diabetes can make infections persist longer and slow healing.

External - Clean the penis gently with lukewarm water only (avoid soaps). Apply a thin layer of Triphaladi oil or coconut oil with a pinch of turmeric 2× daily. Avoid harsh antiseptics like iodine long-term—they can irritate skin. Keep the area dry and airy After washing, pat dry gently with a soft cloth. Avoid rubbing.

Internal Ayurvedic Medicines

Chandraprabha Vati – 2 tablets twice daily after meals with warm water.

Nishamalaki Churna – 1 teaspoon twice daily with warm water after meals (good for skin and blood sugar support).

Severe pain, pus discharge, swelling, ulceration, foul odor, or fever → urgent medical attention needed.
