Doctors' responses

Hello I get why you’re worried. Being on a catheter and then hearing you might need surgery is a lot to take in. Looking for other options is normal, and Ayurveda could help, but we have to be careful given your situation.

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING

Basically, an enlarged prostate is like a traffic jam in your bladder, usually from things being out of balance. This blocks the pee flow. When things get swollen, you can’t go properly, hence the catheter.

Since you’re already using a catheter, this isn’t a minor thing.

Here’s the thing Having a catheter means: –Your bladder is pretty blocked. –There’s a good chance of infection. –It can put pressure on your kidneys.

So, Ayurveda alone can’t replace surgery right now, but it might:

–Reduce swelling –Make your bladder stronger –Help you heal after surgery –Sometimes, if it’s early enough, it might even help you skip surgery if the blockage gets better.

Can you mix Ayurvedic medicine with regular meds?

Yes, but don’t stop taking what your doctor prescribed or take out the catheter yourself. Safe Ayurvedic stuff you can try (while using a catheter):

These are usually mild and safe:

1.Varunadi Kashayam Mix 15 ml with the same amount of warm water, drink it twice a day before meals. It helps with swelling and helps you pee.

2. Chandraprabha Vati Take 1 tablet twice a day after food It helps your bladder do its thing and lowers swelling.

3.Gokshura guggulu 1 tablet twice a day after food It helps your urine system and kidneys stay healthy.

❌AVOID

–Skip strong treatments for now. –Don’t ditch the catheter just because of herbs. –If your kidneys start getting damaged, don’t wait to have surgery.

✅DIET AND LIFESTYLE

Avoid: –Booze –Spicy, fried stuff –Eating late at night

Include –Drink warm water –Eat a few pumpkin seeds –Eat light veggies like lauki –Eat light, avoid constipation

Ayurveda is good, but it works best before things get too blocked up. In your case, think of it as support, not as a replacement for surgery. Keep seeing your doctor, add some gentle Ayurvedic help, and decide about surgery based on what the docs say after they check you again.

Right now, you want to:

–Protect your kidneys –Avoid infections –Make your bladder stronger –This way is the safest.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Ayurvedic medicines cannot quickly relieve severe blockage or replace surgery Some herbs can interact with prostate medicines or worsen urine retention Delaying surgery in this stage can damage kidneys or bladder ✅ Best approach: Continue the doctor’s medicines as prescribed. If you wish to add Ayurveda for long-term support, it will be helpful.

Internal medicine - Kanchanar Guggulu 👉 1–2 tablets twice daily after food with warm water

Chandraprabha Vati 👉 1–2 tablets twice daily after food
