Doctors' responses

Shatavari may act like estrogen in the body. Since you’ve had ovarian cancer and recently finished chemotherapy, it’s best not to take it

Hello Firstly congratulations on completing your treatment 🧿😊 This is the important milestone you have achieved and we are proud of you I can understand this phase was full of Emotional, physical and mental disturbance to you as well as your family And i also appreciate that you are looking for alternative treatment -for preventing recurrence -and to develop strength post chemo ▪️ABOUT SHATAVARI Listen shatavari is an phtyoestrogen herb -It nourishes reproductive system -Acts as a rejuvinating -reduces fatigue ▪️Important consideration As it is phtoestrogen herb That means it can modulate your estrogen levels As ovarian cancer is very sensitive to hormone And just now you have Completed the treatment I will not advise you to start with shatavari as of now As you will regain strength and ovarian become stable we can think of it But now it is not a good idea ▪️What should be out focus now? Post chemo body becomes weak Many of the unhealthy cells are destroyed So our main focus should be to -Regain strength -Nourish the body cells ▪️Internal medications to start with 1.Ashwagandha capsule 1 capsule once a day 2.guduchi capsule 1 capsule after breakfast 3 ksheerbala capsule 1 after dinner Along with that follow healthy diet plan ▪️Diet plan -Have warm noruishing food -Cooked vegetables -Seasonal fruits -Have adequate protein and fats This plays major role here ▪️Important -Have regular follow up with your oncologist -have regular PET scan Shatavari is a powerful rejuvinating herb but yohr safety is most important Wishing you a good health 😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate
