Liver cancer needs continued care under an oncologist. Ayurveda may help improve digestion, strength, appetite, fatigue, and quality of life, but should not replace chemotherapy or hospital treatment. Take Guduchi Satva 250–500 mg twice daily with warm water Punarnava Mandur 1 tablet twice daily after food Arogyavardhini Vati 1 tablet twice daily only under supervision Liv 52 2 tablets twice daily after food Diet Light warm food, moong dal, rice gruel, pomegranate, boiled vegetables Avoid alcohol, fried food, red meat, packaged food, excess sugar

With Stage IV liver cancer, it is important to understand that chemotherapy is often used to control the disease, slow its progression, reduce symptoms, and improve survival, but it may not completely cure the cancer. Unfortunately, many Stage IV liver cancers are not curable with current treatments. ----She should continue regular follow-up with her oncologist. If chemotherapy is not giving the desired response, the oncologist may consider: Targeted therapy Immunotherapy Combination treatments Clinical trials Palliative care for symptom management and quality of life Follow-up scans (CT/MRI/PET) help determine whether the cancer is responding. ----Ayurveda cannot claim to cure Stage IV liver cancer, but it may help support: Digestion and appetite Energy levels General strength (Bala) Quality of life Management of treatment-related symptoms —Rx: 1) Giloy Ghanvati – 2 tablets twice daily after meals. 2) Amalaki Rasayan – 1 tsp twice daily after meals. 3) Wheatgrass Capsules/Juice – as directed, once or twice daily. 4)!Liv Support Formula (liver-supportive herbal formulation) – 2 capsules twice daily after meals. 5)!Ashwagandha Capsules – 1 capsule twice daily after meals ----Diet Advice: Light, freshly cooked meals. Moong dal soup, vegetable soups, pomegranate, cooked vegetables. Avoid alcohol, fried foods, processed foods, and excess sugar. Small frequent meals for poor appetite. Lifestyle: Adequate rest and sleep. Gentle walking as tolerated. Stress reduction through prayer, meditation, or relaxation practices.

Stage IV Liver Cancer is very difficult to cure completely, especially when there is poor response even after multiple chemotherapy sessions. In Ayurveda, the main aim is to improve quality of life, support strength and digestion, reduce weakness, improve appetite, and help the body tolerate ongoing treatment better. She should continue follow-up with her oncologist and not stop chemotherapy or medical treatment without medical advice. Ayurveda can be used as supportive care alongside it. Helpful Ayurvedic approach: Focus on improving Agni (digestion) and reducing weakness with light, nourishing food such as moong soup, rice gruel, pomegranate, boiled vegetables, coconut water, and small frequent meals. Avoid fried food, processed food, alcohol, red meat, excess sugar, and very spicy items. Maintain proper hydration and adequate rest. Gentle breathing exercises, meditation, and emotional support are very important because stress and fear reduce recovery strength. Rx 1. Guduchi tab - 1 tab twice a day after meal 2. Yashtimadhu- 1 tab twice a day after meal 3. Punarnava Mandoor - 2 tab twice a day after meal 4.Wheatgrass juice- 30 ml twice a day with equal quantity of water If appetite is poor and fatigue is severe, Rasayana therapy and supportive Panchakarma measures may help in selected patients. Regular monitoring of: Liver function tests Weight Appetite Pain Jaundice/swelling is important throughout treatment. The goal at this stage should be: Better strength and energy Reduced side effects Better appetite and sleep Improved comfort and quality of life

••First and foremost, in advanced stages of Arbuda (malignancy/cancer), Ayurveda does not claim to offer an outright independent “cure” where modern medicine has struggled. Instead, Ayurveda works beautifully as a complementary, supportive therapy (Saha-Chikitsa) alongside oncology protocols to improve quality of life, manage chemotherapy side effects, and strengthen the body’s natural defenses. ••Here is how we approach the supportive management of liver cancer (Yakrit Arbuda) in Ayurveda to provide her with the best possible care: Core Principles of Ayurvedic Support (Yakrit Arbuda) In Ayurveda, the liver (Yakrit) is the seat of Rakta Dhatu (blood tissue) and Agni (metabolic fire), heavily governed by Pitta Dosha. Chemotherapy introduces immense heat (Tikshna and Ushna gunas) into the body, which can further deplete the liver’s strength and cause severe Dhatu Kshaya (tissue wasting). Our primary goals are: Yakrit Rakshana: Protecting and regenerating healthy liver cells. ••Agni Deepana & Pachana: Restoring digestion and appetite, which are heavily suppressed by chemo. Rasayana Rasas: Rejuvenating the body to build immunity (Ojas) and combat extreme fatigue. 2. Evidence-Based Classical Herbo-Mineral Line of Support ••Note: Because she is actively undergoing oncology treatment, these must be strictly titrated based on her current liver function tests (LFTs) and blood counts. Liver Protection & Detoxification (Yakrit Uttejaka) ••Bhumyamalaki (Phyllanthus niruri): The absolute premier herb for liver care. Clinical studies show it is highly hepatoprotective, helps manage liver enzymes (SGOT/SGPT), and protects healthy hepatocytes. ••Katuki (Picrorhiza kurroa): Excellent for clearing Pitta stagnation from the liver and supporting bile flow. Used in highly controlled, small doses if there is no severe diarrhea. ••Sharapunkha (Tephrosia purpurea): Known clinically to assist in cellular regeneration and reducing hepatic congestion. Immuno-Modulation & Strength (Rasayana & Vyadhikshamathva) ••Guduchi Satva (Tinospora cordifolia): Outstanding for reducing the burning sensation, nausea, and peripheral neuropathy caused by chemotherapy. It builds Ojas without aggravating Pitta. ••Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera): Used specifically to combat cancer-related fatigue and cachexia (muscle wasting), provided the liver can metabolize it easily. ••Amalaki (Emblica officinalis): Rich in natural antioxidants, it directly supports Rakta Dhatu and pacifies the fierce heat of chemotherapy. Advanced Classical Formulations (Under Strict Supervision) ••Rohitakarisha / Kumaryasava: Traditional liquid fermentations that improve liver function and digestion. ••Yakrit Plihari Loha / Punarnavadi Mandoor: If she is suffering from chemotherapy-induced anemia or fluid retention (ascites), these classical formulations help manage fluid balance and iron levels under strict monitoring. 3. Dietary Support (Ahara) for a Fragile System When the liver is compromised, it cannot process heavy proteins or fats. Her diet needs to be incredibly light, healing, and easy on the Agni: ••Manda and Peya: Thin, warm rice gruel or green gram (Moong dal) water infused with a pinch of roasted cumin and ginger. ••Pitta-Pacifying Liquids: Fresh pomegranate juice (helps improve RBC counts) or coconut water to soothe the GI tract. ••Avoid: Absolutely no heavy, oily, spicy, processed foods, or refined sugars, which put an immense metabolic load on the liver.

Stage IV liver cancer is very serious, and at this stage the main goal is usually improving quality of life, strength, appetite, and comfort along with oncology treatment. Ayurveda can be supportive, but it should not replace cancer specialist care. Focus on light nutritious food, proper hydration, emotional support, and rest. Avoid oily, fried, processed foods and alcohol completely. Liv 52 DS – 1 tablet twice daily after food Guduchi satva – 500 mg twice daily Punarnava mandoor – 1 tablet twice daily after food These may help support liver function, energy, and digestion gently. Please continue regular follow-up with her oncologist. If pain, jaundice, vomiting, or weakness increases, immediate medical attention is important. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)

Hello, After 10 chemo sessions without improvement, the liver cancer should be assessed by a senior oncologist. Further options like immunotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation procedures, or supportive/ palliative care may still help depending on the stage and liver function Ayurveda can be used as supportive care to improve -appetite -strength -digestion -sleep -immunity -quality of life Internally 1) Guduchi ghan vati= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =immunity and weakness 2) Bhumyamaki capsules= 1 cap twice daily after meals =for liver support 3) Ashwagandha churna= 1 tsp with warm milk at bedtime =fatogue and stress releiveer 4) Triphala churna= 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime =constipation releif Diet -light, fresh easy to digest food -moong dal khichdi, soups, pomegranate, coconut water -avoid alcohol , fried food, junk food, smoking Yoga and pranayam -gentle walking -anulom vilom -bhramari -meditation for stress relief Important test -LFT -AFP tumor marker -CT/MRI scan -PET scan Do not stop modern cancer treatment without oncology guidance. Best results usually come from combining -onchology care -nutrition -palliative support -carefully adopt ayurveda for symptoms relief and strength support Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

I completely understand your concern and anxiety regarding your cousin sister’s health. Seeing a loved one go through advanced cancer treatments like chemotherapy is incredibly difficult. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 Please understand that at Stage IV, the cancer has spread beyond its primary site. While modern chemotherapy aims to control the progression of the disease, achieving a complete ‘cure’ at this advanced stage can be highly challenging. However, Ayurveda can play a vital role as a supportive, complementary therapy to help manage her symptoms, minimize the side effects of chemotherapy, improve her strength, and enhance her overall quality of life. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👍👍👍👍 1) Heposem tablet- 1 tab twice daily 2) Ashta choornam- 2 gram twice daily mix with first bite of your food or with warm water just before your meal 3) Drakshadi Kwatham- 15 ml mix with 45 mm lukewarm water twice daily on empty stomach Especially at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 4) guduchi satva- 500 mg with honey twice a day
