Weight gain following treatment often indicates an imbalance in Kapha dosha, which regulates structure, stability, and nourishment. When Agni (digestive fire) is weak, the body produces Ama (toxins), which accumulates as excess weight. At 65, it is crucial to approach weight management with gentleness. Rather than focusing on “losing weight” through drastic restriction, we must focus on restoring metabolic efficiency and clearing Ama. While you mention you do not have time for formal exercise, please remember that even gentle movement or mindful breathing exercises can support metabolic health without overtaxing your system. Ayurvedic Therapeutic Approach To address the imbalance, you may incorporate the following specific treatments into your daily routine.
