Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.
Psoriasis is often linked to an imbalance in the Pitta and Vata doshas, manifesting as inflammation, dryness, and scaling on the skin. In Ayurveda, this is viewed as an accumulation of heat and dryness in the body, which can be exacerbated by stress, certain foods, or environmental factors.
The ash guard juice you are consuming is cooling and can help pacify excess Pitta, which is beneficial for inflammatory conditions like psoriasis. Chia and flax seeds are also known for their cooling properties and are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which can help in reducing inflammation and nourishing the skin. However, their mucilaginous nature might increase Kapha, leading to potential digestive sluggishness if not balanced properly.
Ayurveda sees this as a systemic imbalance, not just a skin issue. The internal heat and dryness can be linked to your digestion and stress levels, impacting your skin’s health.
