When he finally went to the doctor, they did a chest X-ray and a sputum test, and that’s when we found out it was TB. He was immediately put on a long course of antibiotics, which the doctor said he has to take for at least six months without missing a dose. We understand that TB medications are necessary, but the side effects have been really tough on him. He complains of nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, and stomach issues, and he’s constantly fatigued. He used to be quite active, but now he barely gets out of bed.
