I was recently prescribed clobetasol propionate cream for a severe case of eczema that caused my skin to break out in painful, itchy rashes. The doctor told me that this is a very potent corticosteroid and would help reduce inflammation. Initially, it seemed to work, and my skin cleared up in just a few days. However, after using it for about two weeks, I’ve noticed that the skin in the treated area has started to thin, and I’m also developing some stretch marks. This has made me a bit concerned about long-term use, especially since the doctor didn’t mention the possibility of skin thinning. I’ve heard that clobetasol propionate cream should only be used for a short period, but the eczema still hasn’t fully resolved. I want to avoid more side effects if possible.
