Ulcerative colitis is a chronic condition that requires careful and personalized management. In terms of lifestyle, stress reduction is crucial, since emotional imbalance may exacerbate symptoms. Gentle yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation can help in maintaining calm, promoting digestion and mental clarity.

For herbal support, consider taking Avipattikar churna, a classical preparation, which helps in pacifying Pitta and aiding digestion. Triphala is another option, known for its cleansing and tonic properties on the digestive tract. However, these should be used under professional guidance.

Avoid taking Ayurvedic remedies without consultation, especially if you’re already on medication. It’s vital to balance any new regimen with the treatments you’re currently undergoing. Ulcerative colitis, being a serious condition, requires regular monitoring by a healthcare provider. If symptoms worsen, prompt medical attention is necessary.
