Could Stopping Geriforte Be Causing Fatigue and Mood Changes? - #22705

Daniel

I am feeling really off lately, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because I stopped taking my geriforte. So, I was on this geriforte for a few months for general health and energy, and I felt great at first! But then I ran out, and honestly, just forgot to restock. Ugh! I’ve been more tired, and my focus is like totally gone. Also, is it normal to feel a bit more irritable? I started feeling kinda moody, which I never used to be like. Do you think it’s related to not having geriforte? I’m a bit confused, like can it really make that much of a difference? Should I start taking it again?

Your experience of feeling more fatigued and moody after stopping geriforte could indeed be related. Geriforte is an Ayurvedic rasayana, which is a rejuvenative preparation designed to boost general health, energy, and rejuvenation. It often contains ingredients like ashwagandha and shatavari, known for their adaptogenic properties, which may help in maintaining energy levels and mood stability. When you stopped taking it, your body might have missed the support it was getting, potentially resulting in the changes you’re noticing.

While geriforte can aid in sustaining certain health aspects, the reaction of stopping it can vary from person to person and often depends on the individual’s dosha constitution and current lifestyle. If you were experiencing benefits from it, your body might have become accustomed to that support, making the absence more noticeable.

To address the fatigue and mood changes, consider reintroducing geriforte into your routine if it was working well for you. Sometimes it helps to take it consistently again for several weeks to notice changes. Alongside, ensure you are nourishing your body properly with a balanced diet fitting your dosha type—like warm, grounding foods if you’re vata, or lighter, less oily foods if you’re kapha dominant. Incorporating foods rich in natural energy boosters, such as almonds, dates, and seasonal fruits can naturally uplift your energy, too.

Also, regular physical activity, like a simple daily walk, can support in regulating dosha disturbances, especially vata. And make sure to rest well. Sleep is a cornerstone in managing energy levels and mood stability.

You might want to observe for a few days and if the symptoms persist or worsen, it could be beneficial to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can offer a more personalized assessment and guidance basedong on your specific prakriti (constitution) and current health condition. Remember, it’s essential to listen to your body’s signals, and sometimes, a holistic approach can make a significant difference in not only addressing your current symptomps but enhancing overall well-being.
