How to get rid of too much oily skin and hair thinning - #26601

I am 23 years old. I do have oily skin but it’s getting worsen. It’s becoming much oily and I’m getting small open pores and whiteheads also. Also my hairs are thinning too much and Pre greying. I have lost a lot of volume in my hair.

Take amalaki rasayan 1-0-1 after food with water Ashwagandha churan 0-0-1tsp at bedtime with water Wash your hair with shikakai shampoo it helps reduce oil. Take mahamanjistadi kadha 15 ml twice daily after food with water.

Excess oily skin and hair thinning often linked to an imbalance in your body’s doshas, particularly Pitta and Kapha. Diet and lifestyle play a significant role in manifestation of these conditions. For your oily skin with open pores and whiteheads, start by focusing on what you’re eating. Avoid greasy, spicy, and deeply fried foods which increase Pitta and Kapha. Instead opt for cool, light and mildly sweet foods like cucumber, cilantro, and coconut water. Consume leafy greens and seasonal fruits to help detoxify your skin.

Incorporate a cleansing routine using natural ingredients. Use a face wash containing neem or tea tree oil, known for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. You can apply raw honey or turmeric paste as a weekly face mask to tighten pores and reduce oiliness. Aloe vera gel can be soothing and is excellent for reducing blemishes.

Hair thinning and pre greying may indicate nutritional deficiencies, or aggravated Pitta dosha. Ensure a balanced diet rich in iron, omega-3 fatty acids, and biotin. Amla (Indian gooseberry) is beneficial for hair health. Consume it as juice daily or apply as a hair mask mixed with yogurt weekly. Bhringraj oil is also rejuvenates hair; warm it slightly and massage into scalp twice weekly, leave for about 30 minutes before washing it off.

Excess oiliness in skin could be linked to an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, leading to increased sebum production and skin issues like open pores and whiteheads. For hair thinning and premature greying, this may relate to imbalances in both Vata and Pitta doshas, affecting the hair follicles and melanin production.

Firstly, for oily skin, incorporate regular cleansing with a natural, gentle cleanser twice daily. Use a face pack with Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth) mixed with rose water 2-3 times a week. This helps absorb excess oil and tighten pores. Within your diet, reduce spicy, oily, and fermented foods which can aggravate Pitta. Emphasize a balanced diet with more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and stay hydrated.

For hair thinning and greying, amla (Indian gooseberry) can be a powerful ally. Consider consuming amla juice daily or a tablespoon of amla powder mixed with water. Oil your scalp regularly with a nourishing herbal oil such as bhringraj oil, applying lightly to enhance scalp health and promote hair growth. Avoid excessive heat styling and harsh chemical products which contribute to hair shaft weakening.

Additionally, stress and irregular sleep can worsen both skin and hair conditions due to Vata imbalance. Practice relaxation techniques, maintain regular sleep patterns, and incorporate light yoga or meditation into your routine.
