I am really struggling with these dark circles under my eyes! They’ve gotten way worse lately, and honestly, I look super tired all the time, even when I've had enough sleep. I work long hours in front of a computer, and some times I notice these puffy bags more than others. My friends keep mentioning I need to look into how to clean dark circles, but like, how do you even clean dark circles? I tried some over-the-counter creams but nothing seems to work. One night after staying up late working on a project, I thought, okay, maybe I should take this seriously... Woke up looking like a raccoon the next day, no joke! I’ve been drinking more water and trying to get more sleep, even switching up my diet a bit, but the dark circles just won't budge. I feel like I've read a million articles on how to clean dark circles but nothing ever seems to click. Should I be doing some sort of treatments? Are there any natural remedies you guys recommend? Or maybe lifestyle changes that make a real difference? I really just wanna get back that fresh look, you know? If anyone has tips, I’d love to hear!

These dark circles could be an indication of an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, or sometimes even Vata, due to stress, lack of rest, and dietary habits. Here’s a plan based on Ayurvedic principles to help you tackle those persistent dark circles:

1. Rest and Routine: Prioritize consistent sleep, aiming for 7-8 hours nightly. This helps regulate your bodily rhythms and reduces stress, a key factor in dark circles. Try going to bed by 10 PM, as this aligns with the natural Pitta cycle, aiding rejuvenation.

2. Herbal Love: Apply a mixture of almond oil with a few drops of rose water under your eyes before bed. Almond oil nourishes the skin while rose water has cooling properties balancing Pitta.

3. Dietary Adjustments: Consume Pitta and Vata pacifying foods. Include cooling foods like cucumbers, lettuce and melons. Avoid overly spicy, salty, and acidic foods. Hydrate not just with water but with fresh coconut water or aloe vera juice which soothe the inner body.

4. Eye Soothers: Place cool cotton pads soaked in a mix of cucumber juice and rose water over your eyes for 10-15 minutes daily. Both ingredients have cooling and soothing properties.

Consider pacifying pitta with cooling foods, such as cucumbers, leafy greens, and sweet fruits. Stay hydrated—continue the increased water intake; it helps maintain balance in all three doshas.

For natural treatments, try an application of almond oil before bed. Gently massage a few drops under your eyes in circular motions. Almond oil’s vitamin E content and nourishing properties can help brighten and moisturize the delicate skin. Another option is chilled rose water compresses; they can soothe and reduce puffiness and are calming to vata and pitta.
