Firstly, digestive fire is to be corrected then the symptoms of IBS will improve. Start with 1. Kaidaryadi kashayam 15ml-0-15ml with 15ml water before food 2. Dadimashtak churna 1tsp-0-1tsp with Buttermilk after food 3. Ashwagandha tablet 1-0-1 after food 4. Nasya with Anu Taila , 2-2 drops in each nostril, morning and evening 5. Manasamitra Vatkam 1-0-1 after food.

Diet Advice Include: Cooked grains (rice khichdi), mung dal soup, steamed veggies (carrots, beets), fruits (bananas, figs), ghee (1-2 tsp/day), ginger/cumin teas. Avoid: Cold/raw foods, excess dairy/spicy (worsens IBS/sinus), caffeine; eat smaller, regular meals – no skipping! Hydration: 8 glasses warm water; add a pinch of rock salt for electrolytes.

Lifestyle advice Daily Move: Light yoga (Pranayama, Balasana) 20 mins 4-5x/week – helps bowels, sinus drainage, and vigor without strain Rest & Recover: Sleep 7-8 hours (bed by 10 PM); meditate 10 mins daily to curb bad habits and boost Ojas.

Hello Thank you for sharing your concerns so honestly. I understand how difficult it can be to manage both sinus congestion and irregular digestion, especially when accompanied by low energy and loss of vitality. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊

✅ Ayurvedic Treatment Plan

☑️ For Sinus & Kapha Balance

Nasya Karma (Nasal Therapy) – instil 2 drops of Anu Taila in each nostril every morning after bathing. (Clears sinuses, strengthens nasal passages, and improves head clarity.)

Steam inhalation with tulsi, ajwain, or eucalyptus leaves once daily.

Sitopaladi Churna – ½ tsp twice daily with honey, after meals for 15 days. (Reduces mucus and soothes respiratory mucosa.)

Trikatu Churna – ¼ tsp before meals with warm water to digest Ama (toxins).

☑️For IBS and Digestive Regulation

Kutajghan Vati – 1 tablet twice daily after meals (balances mixed bowel and relieves inflammation).

Bilwadi Churna – ½ tsp with buttermilk after lunch.

Hingvastak Churna – ½ tsp with warm water before meals for gas and bloating.

👉Home remedy: Boil 1 tsp cumin + 1 tsp coriander + 1 tsp fennel in 3 cups water; reduce to half and sip warm through the day.

☑️For Loss of Vitality and Muscle Strength

Ashwagandha Churna – ½ tsp with warm milk and ghee at bedtime

Bala Ashwagandhadi Taila – external massage (Abhyanga) over whole body 3–4 times per week, followed by a warm bath. (Improves circulation, reduces Vata, and restores tissue tone.)

✅DIET MODIFIACTION

✅ Favour:

Warm, freshly cooked, easy-to-digest foods — rice, moong dal, ghee, cooked vegetables. Add cumin, ajwain, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper to meals. Buttermilk (thin, spiced with roasted cumin and rock salt) post lunch. Drink lukewarm water throughout the day. Early dinner (by 7:30 pm) and sound sleep before 10 pm.

❌ Avoid:

Cold foods, curd at night, bakery items, fried or stale food. Overeating and irregular meal timings. Excess tea, coffee, and late-night screen exposure

By gently balancing Vata-Kapha, nourishing the body with Rasayana herbs, and adopting a sattvic daily routine, you will gradually restore your digestive health, sinus clarity, and inner vitality.

Warm regards, Dr Snehal Vidhate

Balancing a Vata dominant constitution while addressing mild sinus issues, mixed-type IBS, and a sense of loss in vitality requires an integrated approach. The mild sinus problem often links to Kapha imbalance—consider reducing dairy and cold foods. To support sinus health, include herbs like Tulsi tea, twice daily, it can help clear congestion. Steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil for 5-10 minutes daily could also clear nasal passages.

For mixed IBS, stabilizing your digestive fire (Agni) is key. Start your day with a warm glass of water infused with ginger or lemon. This aids digestion and gently stimulates motility. Consume meals consistently at the same time daily to regulate Vata. Avoid raw and cold foods as they may aggravate Vata, instead go for cooked, warm meals. Trikatu churna, taken with warm water before meals, might enhance digestion and alleviate symptoms.

Addressing vitality loss stemming from excessive sexual activity needs a holistic replenishment strategy. Incorporate nourishing foods like almonds soaked overnight, sesame seeds, and ghee into your diet — these support tissues and boost energy. Ashwagandha herb can be greatly beneficial, just a teaspoon with warm milk before bed, as it’s known for rejuvenating the body. Breathing exercises such as Anulom Vilom or alternate nostril breathing practiced regularly can help in grounding Vata and promoting yang energy balance.

Do ensure you get ample rest, as restorative sleep contributes to muscle repair and replenishment, aim for atleast 7-8 hours each night. A regular routine, involving meditation or calming practices like yoga, is very imporant to stabilize mental energy and stress, which might be affecting your IBS symptoms.

Remember, personalized diagnosis and a consistent regimen tailored by a professional is beneficial, especially considering age and personal health history. Consider consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner near you for a more tailored approach.
