According to Ayurveda, weight management often involves balancing the kapha dosha since excess weight can be a manifestation of kapha imbalances. Begin with incorporating light and warming foods like ginger, black pepper, and cumin into your diet to enhance agni, your digestive fire and prevent sluggish metabolism. Limit heavy, oily, and cold foods which can exacerbate kapha.

Engage in regular physical activity, ideally in the morning, to stimulate the metabolic rate. Yoga poses such as Surya Namaskar and dynamic asanas like Vinyasa flow can be highly effective. Also, consider brisk walks which are both physically and mentally invigorating.

For glowing skin, focus on maintaining pitta balance as this dosha governs the complexion and metabolism. A diet rich in hydrating foods such as cucumbers, and melons can maintain this balance. Integrating cooling herbs like aloe vera and turmeric can help reduce skin inflammation and promote a more radiant complexion. Topically, using a paste of sandalwood and rose water can provide a natural glow to your face.

Healthy hair reflects healthy dhatus (tissues). Ensure that your diet is nutricious, with adequate proteins and healthy fats. Applying a warm oil treatment with coconut oil, slightly infused with amla or bhringraj, can be beneficial. Leave it on for about an hour, gently massaging the scalp to improve blood circulation. Rinse thorughly with a mild natural shampoo.
