Your routine is good and safe for oily–combination skin. Use it like this (simple): Morning Himalaya neem face wash Himalaya aloe gel (thin layer) Qurez SPF 50 Night Cleanse BHA only 2 times/week (T-zone only, avoid mouth area) Other nights: Niacinamide 4–5% (2–3 drops) Moisturizer Important rules Don’t use BHA daily Don’t use BHA + niacinamide same night Don’t apply actives around mouth daily What it will improve Oil & sweat → 2–3 weeks Blackheads/whiteheads → 4–6 weeks Dullness & glow → 6–8 weeks

ChatGPT routine is decent but not optimal for your Pitta-Kapha skin type. It lacks strong exfoliation balance & pigmentation control and some products can irritate sensitive Indian skin.

Optimized Ayurvedic routine For Morning Cleanser: Himalaya Neem Face Wash or Khadi Natural Neem & Tulsi Face Wash (gentle, controls oil without stripping) Treatment: Minimalist 10% Niacinamide (not 4–5%) – 4–5 drops, excellent for pores, oil control, pigmentation & glow Moisturizer: Himalaya Aloe Vera Gel or Plum Green Tea Mattifying Moisturizer (light, non-comedogenic) Sunscreen: Qurez Mattifying SPF 50 or Re’equil Ultra Matte Dry Touch SPF 50 (must for pigmentation & oil control)

For Evening/Night Cleanser: same as morning Exfoliation (2–3 nights/week): Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid OR Salicylic Acid 2% from Minimalist/Plum – start 2×/week only (clears closed comedones, blackheads & pores) Treatment (non-exfoliation nights): Minimalist 10% Niacinamide OR The Derma Co 10% Niacinamide Moisturizer: same as AM

Spot treatment for pigmentation (around mouth): Kumkumadi Taila (Baidyanath/Kama Ayurveda) – 1–2 drops at night, 3–4×/week (best Ayurvedic lightener for perioral darkness.

Weekly Multani mitti + rose water + pinch turmeric mask – 10–15 min, 1–2×/week (controls oil & brightens)

Lifestyle (very important) Start 30 min brisk walk/exercise daily (reduces oiliness & stress) Sleep 10 PM – 6 AM (glow & hormone balance) Drink 2.5–3 L water Reduce junk/processed food, add more fruits (papaya, pomegranate)

Patch test everything. If irritation then stop & consult dermatologist.

hello Thanks for sharing your concerns so openly. At 19, it’s pretty normal to deal with oily-combination skin, clogged pores, a bit of dullness, and some pigmentation around the mouth. With the right approach—mixing Ayurvedic wisdom and solid skincare—you can handle all of this. That’s exactly what you’re aiming for, and I’m here to help you get there safely and honestly.

Let’s break things down:

Your Skin, Through the Ayurveda

Here’s what’s going on: - You’ve got a bit of Kapha-Pitta imbalance. - There’s extra oil (Snigdha) and heat (Ushna). - Mild issues with blood and Pitta are causing dullness and pigmentation. - You sweat more on your face than usual. - Blocked pores are leading to blackheads and whiteheads.

But don’t worry—this isn’t full-blown acne-prone skin. It’s more about oily, comedonal skin. The trick is to keep your routine gentle and balanced, not harsh.

Reviewing Your Current Routine

AM Routine (Mostly Good) - Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash: Perfect for oily skin, helps with oil and bacteria. Just use it twice a day—any more and your skin gets dull. - Himalaya Aloe Vera Face Gel: Nice, light, cooling. Only use a tiny bit (think pea-sized). - Qurez Mattifying Sunscreen SPF 50: Super important for pigmentation and pores. Great pick! Use two finger-lengths’ worth.

So your morning routine looks solid.

PM Routine (Needs Tweaking) - COSRX BHA Liquid: Good for blackheads and comedones, but dial it back to twice a week, not three. Only use on dry skin and skip the upper lip/mouth corners—they’re prone to pigmentation. Overdoing it can actually make sweating and dullness worse, and can mess with your skin barrier at your age. - Niacinamide 4-5% (Minimalist): Good stuff for pores, oil, and pigment. Use it only on nights you’re not using BHA, and don’t put it around your mouth every day—3 to 4 nights a week is enough.

YOUR UPDATED ROUTINE

Morning: - Neem face wash - Thin layer of aloe gel - SPF 50 sunscreen

Night: - Two nights a week: Cleanser, BHA (thin layer), moisturizer. - Three to four nights a week: Cleanser, niacinamide (just T-zone and cheeks, avoid lips), moisturizer. - One night a week: Just cleanser and moisturizer—give your skin a break.

INTERNAL MEDICATION

- Mahamanjishthadi Kwath/Kashayam: 10–15 ml with warm water after a meal, once a day. It purifies the blood, brightens complexion, and fades pigmentation.

- Avipattikar Churna: Half a teaspoon at night with warm water. This cools you down, controls sweating, and balances oil.

DIET AND LIFETSYLE

Keeping it simple, as you asked: - Cut down on fried foods, bakery stuff, sugar, and cold drinks. - Drink more plain water, eat home-cooked meals, and don’t skip meals. - Junk food and extra heat directly make perioral pigmentation worse.

About Facial Sweating

This extra sweating happens because of Pitta, not because you’re sick. It’ll settle as you balance Pitta, stop overusing BHA, and stick with sunscreen.

Don’t expect an instant glow—healthy skin takes some time.

You’re doing things right, and it’s smart that you double-checked before starting. Your skin is young, it heals fast, and you’ve got plenty of time to get it balanced. The main thing is not to overdo active ingredients.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Hlo,

Product Routine Review 🌞 AM ROUTINE 1. Cleanser: Himalaya Neem Face Wash ✔️ Okay for oily skin ❌ Can be slightly drying and dulling if used long-term ⚠️ If dullness increases, switch to: Simple Gel Cleanser (pH ~5.5) Example: Minimalist Salicylic Cleanser or Simple Refreshing Gel

👉 Verdict: Acceptable for now

2. Moisturizer: Himalaya Aloe Vera Gel ✔️ Lightweight ❌ Not a true moisturizer (no barrier support) ❌ Can increase sweating in hot weather 👉 Better option: Use it only at night or mix 1 drop with a light gel-cream.

3. Sunscreen: Qurez Mattifying SPF 50 ✔️ Good choice for oily skin ✔️ Helps prevent worsening pigmentation 👉 Very important: Use 2 finger lengths for face & neck Reapply if outdoors

🌙 PM ROUTINE On BHA nights (2x/week only): COSRX BHA is gentle and effective ✔️ Good for blackheads & closed comedones ⚠️ Do NOT use more than 2x/week ⚠️ Avoid mouth corners & upper lip

On Non-BHA nights: Niacinamide 4–5% ✔️ Excellent choice Helps: Oil control Pores Barrier repair Mild pigmentation 👉 Use pea-sized amount only

🔴 Missing from your routine You are not addressing pigmentation and dullness fully. You need ONE of the following (2–3 nights/week): Azelaic Acid 10% OR Mild Vitamin C (AM)

This is where Ayurveda + science helps.

Why your skin is behaving this way (Ayurvedic view)

Your pattern = Pitta + Kapha dominance Excess oil + sweating = Pitta Blackheads + closed comedones = Kapha Pigmentation around mouth = Pitta accumulation + digestive imbalance 👉 Topicals alone will not fix this

✨✨✨AYURVEDIC PRESCRIPTION ⚠️ These are general Ayurvedic recommendations, not a replacement for a personal Vaidya visit.

🔹 INTERNAL MEDICATIONS (MOST IMPORTANT)

1️⃣ Gandhak Rasayan Dose: 250 mg tablet Once daily after lunch With lukewarm water Benefits: Controls oil secretion Prevents comedones Improves skin glow ⏳ Duration: 6–8 weeks

2️⃣ Manjistha Capsules Dose: 500 mg Once daily after dinner Benefits: Improves pigmentation Blood purification Reduces perioral darkness ⏳ Duration: 8–12 weeks

3️⃣ Triphala Churna Dose: ½ teaspoon At bedtime With warm water Benefits: Improves digestion Reduces facial dullness Helps hormonal pigmentation

🔹 EXTERNAL AYURVEDIC CARE 🌿 Weekly Ubtan (2x/week only) Mix: 1 tsp Multani Mitti ½ tsp Sandalwood powder Rose water to paste Apply 10–12 minutes only, then wash off Follow with light gel moisturizer

🌿 Night Treatment (2–3x/week) Pure Kumkumadi Tailam 2–3 drops only Apply ONLY on pigmentation area, not full face ⚠️ Skip on BHA nights

Diet & Lifestyle (VERY IMPORTANT)

❌ Reduce: Fried food Dairy at night Sugar Tea/coffee excess

✅ Increase: Coconut water (daily) Cucumber Amla Water (2.5–3L)

Sweat control: Wash face with cool water Avoid harsh soaps Use blotting paper, not tissues

Thank you for sharing your skin concerns so clearly … From what you have described your skin is oily to combination with Pitta Kapha imbalance … This explains the T zone oiliness sweating closed comedones open pores blackheads whiteheads mild hyperpigmentation and dullness Your skin is not diseased … These are signs of oil imbalance clogged pores and mild heat in the body … From an Ayurvedic perspective your digestion and Agni play a major role in skin health and external treatments work best when internal balance is supported… The routine suggested is mostly correct however some modifications are needed for long term safety and effectiveness Cleanser like Himalaya Neem Facewash can be used at night once daily ,In the morning a non foaming cleanser or Aloe based cleanser will prevent dehydration and overproduction of oil Moisturizer like Aloe Vera Gel is good for hydration but should be combined with a light gel based moisturizer at night to lock moisture … Sunscreen is essential especially for pigmentation around mouth and should be applied generously and gently … Reapply if outdoors BHA like COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid should be started once a week for two weeks and then increased to twice a week monitoring skin response Overuse can damage the barrier… Niacinamide 4 to 5 percent on non BHA nights is excellent for oil control pore appearance pigmentation and barrier repair Use only 2 to 3 drops and avoid excess sweating or irritation Face sweating is linked to internal heat low activity and stress …

Topicals help pores and oil but sweating will improve only with internal balance … Lifestyle correction is extremely important Late nights junk food spicy fried food lack of exercise constant touching of face all worsen oiliness dullness and pigmentation … Even twenty to thirty minutes of walking daily improves skin circulation and oil balance… Ayurvedic internal support like warm water in the morning reducing excess sugar and fried food and including fruits like pomegranate papaya and pear helps skin glow… Do not rely solely on products Your skin is young repairable and responds best to gentle treatment consistent care and balanced lifestyle…

HELLO,

Your skin problem is not a disease, but a functional imbalance inside the body that is reflecting on the face.

In Ayurveda, skin health depends on -balanced doshas (vata, pitta, kapha) -strong digestion -pure blood -proper elimination of waste

In your case

WHY SKIN IS OILY AND CONGESTED? -Kapha dosha is increased -kapha is oily, heavy, sticky -It blocks skin pores-> blackheads, whiteheads, closed comedones -leads to enlarged pores and dull appearance

WHY SWEATING AND PIGMENTATION? -Pitta dosha is also increased -Pitta is hot and sharp causes -excess sweating (especially upper lip, cheeks, forehead) -hyperpigmentation around mouth -summer aggravation

WHY DULLNESS AND LACK OF GLOW? -Weak digestion -> ama (toxins) formation -Ama circulates in blood-> skin becomes lifeless -sedentary lifestyle worsens this

In short This is a kapha-pitta imbalance with Ama accumulation, affecting Rasa and Rakta dhatu, showing on facial skin

AYURVEDIC VIEW -Mukhadushika (early/non-inflammatory stage) -Kaphapitta twak vikara Associatedwith -mandagni (low metabolic fire) -ama -rakta dushti (impure blood)

Since you don’t have active acne or pus, this is an earl, reversible stage

TREATMENT GOALS -reduce excess oil and pore blockage -control heat, sweating, pigmentation -improve digestion and metabolism -purify blood -restore natural glow -prevent future acne and marks

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1/2 tsp with warm water 3-4 nights per week for 3 months =removes toxin, improves digestion, clears pores internally, regulates bowel movements very important for skin

2) AVIPATTIKAR CHURNA= 1/2 tsp after dinner with warm water for 6 weeks = pacifies excess pitta, controls sweating, improves pigmentation, reduces internal heat affecting face

3) GANDHAK RASAYANA= 1 tab once daily after meals for 8 weeks =classical blood purifier, improves skin texture, prevents comedones formation

4) MAHAMANJISTHADI KASAHYA= 15ml with equal water once daily after lunch =best rakta shodhak, helps pigmentation, improves skin glow

EXTERNAL MANAGEMENT

A) CLEANSING (2-3 times/week)

HERBAL UBTAN -Besan- 2 tsp -Neem powder- 1/2 tsp -Multani mitti- 1 tsp -Rose water =removes excess oil, clears pores, improves dullness, kapha-pitta pacifying

B) FACE PACK (1-2 TIMES/WEEK) -Sandalwood- 1/2 tsp -Yashtimadhu- 1/2 tsp -Aloe vera / rose water =reduces pigmentation , calms heat, improves complexion

C) SIMPLE HOME REMEDY (daily) -apply plain rose water as toner -helps sweating and oil balance

YOGA ASANAS -surya namaskar= 6-8 rounds -bhujangasana -pawanmuktasana -ardha matsyendrasana = improves digestion, reduces kapha stagnatie, enhances blod circulation to ace

PRANAYAM -Sheetali/sheetkari= for. pitta and heat -Kapalbhati= 30 strokes * 2 rounds (light) -Anulom Vilom= daily

DIET -warm, freshly cooked meals -vegetables= bottle gourd, ridge gourd, caroot -Fruits= papaya, apple, pomegranate -spices= turmeric, coriander, fennel -buttermilk daytime only

LIFESTYLE CHANGES -wash face after sweating -avoid touching face frequently -sleep before 11 pm -regular physical activity (minimum walking) -manage stress (stress increases pitta)

EXPECTED RESULTS AND DURATION -2-3 WEEKS= oil and sweating control -4-6 WEEKS= comedones reduces -8-12 WEEKS= pigmentation lightens, glow improves

You are young , your skin has strong healing ability This condition is completely manageable Consistency > products Avoid aggressive treatments or frequent product changes

Ayurveda works slowly but permanently by correcting the root cause

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU
