Is there a natural or nature derived gentle shampoo for colour treated hair? Earlier I used NatHabit shampoo which was great - can I still use it? My current shampoo - loreal vitamino makes my hair feel very dry and brittle as soon as I wash it. My hair has this become very dry, what are any lightweight hydrating options to add moisture back to my thin wavy hair?

How long have you been experiencing dryness in your hair?:

- 1-4 weeks

What is your current hair care routine like?:

- Only shampoo and conditioner

How often do you wash your hair?:

HELLO, Yes, you can go back to NatHabit shampoo if it suited you before- it’s gentler than L’Orèal vitamino (which may be drying your hair). -Choose a sulfate-free, aloe/coconut/shikakai- based shampoo -Always use a lightweight hydrating conditioner (organ, aloe, coconut milk) on mid lengths to ends -Once weekly, warm coconut oil champ before wash -avoid hot water and heat styling AYURVEDIC SHAMPOO WASH ADVICE (for dry, colour treated hair) 1) PRE-WASH (Once weekly) -warm coconut oil add 2-3 drops amla oil if available -gentle scalp massage 5-10 mins -leave 30-60 mins before washing 2) CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLEANSER -Mild, sulfate free herbal shampoo -Ingreadients to look for shikakai, reetha, amla, aloe vera, brahmi -avoid strong foaming cleaners (they increase dryness.vata) 3) HOW TO WASH -use lukewarm water not hot -dilute shampoo with a little water before applying -clean scalp only- let foam run through lengths -don’t rub lengths aggreassively 4) AFTER WASH -apply a light, hydrating conditioner to mid-lengths and ends -final rinse can be cool water to seal cuticle 5) FREQUENCY -2-3 times per week is perfect -if very dry, reduce shampoo quantity rather than washing more Ayurveda tip= dry brittle hair = vata imbalance -> nourish with oil, warmth, and gentle care DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU

—If the NatHabit shampoo you used before was—Sulfate-free,Mild, low-foam,Without harsh silicones/alcohols then yes, you can continue using it. —Your hair dryness is likely from the current shampoo being too harsh for colour-treated hair. I recommend switching to a gentle, sulfate-free, hydrating shampoo. You can go back to NatHabit if it suited you before. Also, add a lightweight conditioner or leave-in product to restore moisture without weighing your hair down.

Hair oils (tiny amount) — argan or jojoba oil applied to damp ends. Weekly mask — banana + honey DIY mask or a store‑bought hydrating mask. Rinse tip — finish with cool water to seal cuticle and reduce dryness.
