hello , thank you for contacting ask ayurveda you had brought shillajit herb for overall wellness single shillajit is not enough for overall wellness and especially when you are having digestive issues. may i recommend other means of over all wellness initially you have to detox your body for this you have to undergo panchakarma therapy - it helps in detoxification of body and helps in rejuvination of our body cells . after panchakarma you can take medication in spite of shillajit herb you can take shillajit vati i don`t know the state of shillajit herb as though you had purchased from reputed palce.( it may be contaminated with dirt ) so better to use shillajit vati. for frequent indigestion i will prescribe some medication. please go through it.

By the way shilajith is not a herb, its an rock exudate,so the name shilajith.before taking shilajith purity test is very important. Inorder to plan the dose, for what purpose you are taking is important. Purified shilajith is adviced for variouis purposes.so one should take caution while taking plain shilajith.Medical supervision is more important.for more info dm or msg me

–Before taking it regularly: If it’s raw or resin, ensure it’s purified (shuddh) Impure shilajit can contain heavy metals or contaminants If unsure, limit intake or get it tested – so start it with very low dose – begin with 100 mg once daily empty stomach -After 1–2 weeks: If no discomfort → increase to 200–300 mg/day –Avoid taking it late evening (can be stimulating) -------Since you already have frequent indigestion, pay attention to: Burning sensation Loose motions Stomach heaviness –If any of these happen: Stop immediately or reduce dose Try taking it after a light meal instead of empty stomach if u feel such symptoms

Dose (starting): Pinch size (about 100–150 mg, like a small grain of rice) How to take: Dissolve in lukewarm water (your preferred method is good) Stir well until fully dissolved When to take: Morning, empty stomach Wait at least 30–45 minutes before food Frequency: Start with once daily for 7 days After 1 week (if no discomfort) Increase slightly to 200–250 mg daily Still once daily only (no need to rush to twice daily in your case) If you feel: burning sensation heaviness worsening indigestion Stop immediately or reduce dose With medications Always keep 2–3 hour gap from your regular medicines Especially important if: you take BP meds diabetes meds kidney-related meds

●Shilajit is called “Yogavahi Rasayan” meaning that which itself provides strength and has the power to deeply penetrate other medicines. It not only increases energy, but also nourishes the dhatus. Marrow • Semen • Juices • Blood • Flesh • Fat • Bone It has an effect on all seven dhatus.Shilajit isn’t just an “instant stimulant” for men, it’s a builder of Shukra Dhatu. It helps: • Testosterone balance • Sperm quality • Stamina • Recovery time So it rejuvenates the body tired from the gym, exertion, mental stress, and modern lifestyle. ●Primary Method • Dose: 250-500 mg • Time: Morning on an empty stomach • Medium: Warm milk or water • Duration: 45-90 days This method is considered best for energy, fire and metal-nutrition. • Dosage: 125-250 mg • Time: At night, 2-3 hours after meals •Only lukewarm milk • Before going to bed: At least 1 hour before this method It would be adopted in rheumatic weakness, extreme fatigue, sperm depletion or rheumatic insomnia

Hello, Shilajit is a powerful “Rasayana” (rejuvenator) in Ayurveda, known for its ability to enhance strength and vitality. Since you have the raw herb from a reputable market, it is vital to ensure it is purified (Shodhana) before consumption, as raw Shilajit can contain heavy metals or fungi. The Ayurvedic Perspective In Ayurveda, Shilajit is considered a Yogavahi, meaning it acts as a catalytic agent that enhances the efficacy of other herbs. It balances Kapha and Vata doshas. For best results, it should be taken with a “carrier” (Anupana) like warm milk or honey to aid absorption. Usage and Dosage Form: If it is a resin, take a portion roughly the size of a grain of rice or a small pea (approx. 250–500 mg). Preparation: Dissolve it in a glass of warm organic milk or lukewarm water. Frequency: Once daily, preferably on an empty stomach in the early morning. Duration: Typically taken for 6–8 weeks, followed by a break.

Hello. Shilajit is a mineral resin and not a plant produce so be careful of what you have bought. Another important thing is you need to know that it has to be purified (shodhan) so that you get rid of all unwanted hard minerals in it as shilajit is found in the rocks. Uses of Shilajit: It is a rasayan dravya which means it helps in rejuvenation of the body by acting as an anti aging substance. Dosage: Start from very low dose 100mg per day in the morning with milk. Keep a watch on your BP when you are consuming shilajit. As you mentioned you have digestive issues you will have to first resolve them with proper medication than only will shilajit do its rasayan karya For what you are looking forward is a general good health which can be maintained with a good lifestyle, healthy and clean eating habits and guided panchakarma therapy IF YOU NEED.

The first priority is please ensure that the raw material is safe. Shilajit s directly from markets in its herb or raw resin form can often contain heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic) or fungal contaminants if not professionally purified If it is raw, it should not be consumed directly. You have said that - 👇👇👇 Digestive Issues Shilajit is considered a Rasayana (rejuvenative) but it is heavy (Guru) to digest. If you have low digestive fire (Agni Mandya), Shilajit will likely worsen their indigestion, leading to the formation of Ama (toxins). You are using Prescribed Medications: Shilajit can interact with medications for diabetes (it may lower blood sugar further) and hypertension. It can also increase uric acid levels So you can follow these steps 👇👇👇👇 1) take Trikatu churna - 5 days before starting shilajit 2) after that take almost pea sized amount once daily 3) take it with warm water but if you can take it with milk 4) taken on empty stomach early morning Don’t use 👇👇👇👇 If you have high uric acid or gout Kidney stones Fever

Shilajit is not a herb it is contains minerals, so if you are taking , it after 40 days it is advisable to keep a gap of 10 - 15 days, and then restart. Purification process should be followed before consumption. If you are having digestive issues best is to take after food with water or if empty stomach then dissolve in milk and consume it. Dose usually is 1 pinch(100mg.). , if it agrees you can slowly increase the dose , Since Shilajit is heaty in nature, minimise it’s use in summer and hot season, it is good to take in winter or cold season.

This kind of supplement like shilajit works best when digestion is proper, because it is a potent rasayana and if agni is weak or there is indigestion, it may not get absorbed well and can sometimes cause heaviness since you have frequent indigestion, it is better to start in a very small dose and observe how your body responds medicines you can take shilajit a very small pinch (around 100–125 mg) once daily dissolved in warm water or milk take it preferably in the morning on empty stomach or in the evening, but start with once daily only do not take high doses initially, and avoid taking it along with heavy meals if you feel any heaviness or discomfort, pause and first correct digestion before continuing to support digestion you can take light warm food, avoid heavy, fried and cold items and maintain regular meal timings shilajit can support energy, stamina and overall strength when taken properly and consistently in small doses avoid combining it with alcohol or very spicy food after 2–3 weeks, if it suits you well, dose can be slightly adjusted under guidance Heartful pranams Dr Raghuveer SN (Ayurvedacharya)
