Periods have always been bad for me, but the last few years?? It's another level. I'm 34, and for the past two years, my cycle has been a nightmare. Cramps so bad they make me want to puke, super heavy bleeding that lasts 8-10 days (sometimes longer), and this weird bloated feeling like my lower stomach is just swollen all the time. At first, I thought maybe it was just normal, like maybe my body was changing as I got older?? But then I started feeling this dull, dragging pain even when I wasn’t on my period. Sex became painful too, which honestly sucks because no one talks about that part. I finally went to a gynecologist, and after an ultrasound, she told me I have adenomyosis. She explained it's when the inner lining of the uterus grows into the muscle, making the uterus thick and enlarged. That explains the constant bloating and heavy bleeding, I guess. But the worst part? She basically told me there's no "cure" except hysterectomy, or I could try hormonal treatments, which I really don’t want to do because I’ve heard they can mess you up even more. She put me on some meds to reduce the bleeding, but they made me feel weird, dizzy, and gave me headaches. I stopped after a few months. Arthritis, diabetes, PCOD, asthma, thyroid... but also things like unexplained fatigue or joint swelling that comes and goes randomly. Many of my patients had already “tried everything else” before they walked into Ayurveda, and watching their systems respond slowly—but surely—is something I don’t take lightly. My line of treatment usually combines herbal formulations (classical ones, not trendy ones), Panchakarma detox when needed, and realistic dietary and lifestyle corrections. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused. Ayurveda works best when the patient is part of the process, not just receiving instructions. And yes, I’ve had patients walk in for constant cold and walk out realizing it’s more about weak agni n poor gut routines than just low immunity. Every case’s diff. Some are simple. Some not. But whether it’s a young woman trying to fix her cycles without hormones or a 6-year-old catching colds every week, I try building plans that last—not just short term relief stuff. Healing takes time and needs trust from both sides. End of the day, I try to keep it rooted—classical where it matters but flexible enough to blend with the world we're livin in rn. During this time I got chance to treat over 10,000 patients across different health concerns, which honestly shaped how I think about ayurveda in real life practice. The exposure was intense at times, but it helped me understand patient patterns, lifestyle impact and long term care better. I am actively involved in Panchkarma therapies and have successfully performed more than 400 Panchkarma procedures till date. My hands-on work includes Agnikarma, Viddhakarma, and Marma Therapy, and these therapies require precision, patience and lot of observation. Some days the response is quick, other days it takes time, but that is part of learning I guess. I try to keep treatments as per classical principles while adjusting to modern preventive needs, esp in cardiology related risk factors. I am more inclined towards preventive care, lifestyle correction and procedure based management rather than only medicine. Diet, daily routine, and follow up matters a lot, even if patient feels fine initially. I may sound strict sometimes about compliance, but results do show up slowly. My approach keeps evolving, and I am still learning everyday, from patients mostly, not just textbooks!!

When that happens—healing starts showing up, gradually but strongly. I work with chronic conditions, gut imbalances, seasonal allergies, emotional stress patterns, even people who just “don’t feel right” anymore but don’t have a name for it. Prevention is also a huge part of what I do—Ayurveda isn’t just for after you fall sick. Helping someone stay aligned, even when nothing feels urgent, is maybe the most powerful part of this science. My entire practice is rooted in classical Ayurvedic texts—Charaka, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridayam—and I try to stay true to the system, but I also speak to people where they’re at. That means making the treatments doable in real life. No fancy lists of herbs no one can find. No shloka lectures unless someone wants them. Just real healing using real logic and intuition together. I care about precision in diagnosis. I don’t rush that part. I take time. Because one wrong assumption and you’re treating the shadow, not the source. And that’s what I try to avoid. My goal isn’t temporary relief—it’s to teach the body how to not need constant fixing. When someone walks away lighter, clearer, more in tune with their system—that’s the actual win.
