Engaging in oral sex carries a lower risk of HIV transmission compared to other forms of sexual activity, such as anal or vaginal intercourse, but it is not completely risk-free. HIV can be transmitted if there are open sores, cuts, or bleeding gums in the mouth of the person performing oral sex. However, the overall risk remains comparably low. Other STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), like gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and herpes, can be more easily transmitted through oral sex.

As per the principles of Ayurveda, maintaining a balanced lifestyle and strengthening your immune system is essential. In this context, optimizing your Ojas, the essence of immune resilience and overall vitality, is recommended. Incorporating Ashwagandha in your daily routine can help boost your immunity and calm anxiety. You can take a quarter to half a teaspoon of Ashwagandha powder with warm milk at night.

To further enhance your body’s defense, consider the following Ayurvedic guidelines: Consume turmeric in your diet by adding it to your cooking or mixing half a teaspoon with warm water in the morning. Additionally, adequate hydration, at least 8-10 glasses of water per day, is crucial to help your body function optimally.

If you’re worried about potential exposure to HIV or other STDs, seeking immediate medical advice is essential. Testing will either bring peace of mind or ensure timely treatment. It is typically recommended to have an initial HIV test at 4-6 weeks post-exposure, with follow-up tests at 3 and 6 months for conclusive results. This proactive approach enables early detection and intervention, allaying fears and allowing you to manage health concerns more effectively. Always use protection, such as condoms, to minimize risks in future encounters. Take care.
