To address mouth ulcers, constipation, body heat, acidity, and gas effectively, the approach should be both holistic and individualized, grounded in Ayurvedic principles. These issues often arise from an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, causing inflammation, heat, and digestive disturbances. Hence, you’ll want to focus on cooling, soothing, and balancing the Pitta.
For mouth ulcers, using Triphala can be beneficial. It’s a combination of three fruits that help detoxify and revitalize the digestive system, reducing Pitta-related inflammation. You can take 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water before bedtime, as it also assists in relieving constipation.
Acidity and internal heat may benefit from Amla (Indian Gooseberry), which is cooling and supports digestive health. You can consume Amla juice daily in the morning on an empty stomach, around 25-30 ml diluted with water. Its high Vitamin C content helps soothe ulcers while combating acidity and improving digestion.
Another effective remedy is Aloe Vera juice, known for its cooling properties, which can soothe the digestive tract and reduce body heat. Take 30 ml of Aloe Vera juice, mixed with a glass of water, daily on an empty stomach for optimal results.
To tackle gas and improve digestion, Hing (Asafoetida) can be very helpful. You might add a pinch to a glass of warm water and drink it after meals to alleviate gas and bloating.
Adopting a Pitta-pacifying diet is crucial—favor cooling, hydrating foods such as cucumbers, melons, and leafy greens, while avoiding spicy, fried, or overly acidic foods. Keep yourself hydrated with water or herbal teas like mint and licorice.
In addition, maintaining regular meal times, managing stress through yoga or meditation, and ensuring adequate sleep each night, will help stabilize your overall digestion and constitution.
If symptoms persist or worsen, it is crucial to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and personalized treatment.
