is kokum good for kidney patients - #40065
I am really curious about this kokum thing. I recently read some articles about how it’s supposed to be really good for health and even used in traditional Indian cooking. The other day, I was making a dish with kokum and felt like it helped my digestion but then I thought, could it be harmful? I've got a friend who's dealing with kidney problems, and we were chatting about trying out new healthy foods. He’s always worried about his diet and what not to eat. He has a friend who says kokum has amazing benefits, but would it actually be good for kidney patients? I mean, there’s so much confusion about foods that are “healthy” for most people but maybe not for those with kidney issues. I was searching for some solid info, like, does kokum have high oxalates or something? Or could it help with detoxifying? Does it act like a diuretic? I don’t want to give him bad advice, ya know? If kokum is good for kidney patients, it could be a simple addition to his meals, but if it’s not, that’s a whole different ball game. Anyone got some clear thoughts on this?
