HELLO,

Perimenopause is the natural transition period before menopause, usually starting in the late 40s or early 50s. During this phase -hormones do not stop suddenly -instead, they fluctuate irregularly -ovulation, may or may not happen every month -the uterus responds unpredictable

This leads to -prolonged bleeding -frequent cycles -missed periods followed by long bleeding -mood swings, irritability fatigue

WHY IS BLEEDING LASTING SO LONG? Because -the hormonal signal that tells the uterus when to stop shedding becomes weak -the uterine lining keeps shedding slowly instead of stopping full

In Ayurveda, this condition is called Asrigdara or Raktapradara

WHAT EXACTLY GOES WRONG INSIDE?

1) PITTA DOSHA BECOMES AGGRAVATED -Pitta controls heat, blood flow, and hormones -when aggravated-> blood becomes excessive and unstable

2) VATA DOSHA BECOMES DISTURBED -Vata governs movement and cycle regulation -disturbed vata-> irregular, prolonged bleeding

3) ARTAVA DHATU (FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE TISSUE) WEAKENS -natural aging causes gradual depletion -the uterus loses its ability to hold ad regulate blood properly

This combination leads to moderate but continuous bleeding, not sudden heavy haemorrhage

Ayurvedic Prescription (To Stop Bleeding) 1. Pushyanug Churna: 1 teaspoon twice daily. Mix with Rice Water (wash raw rice and collect the cloudy water) or Honey.

2. Bolbaddha Ras: 2 tablets twice daily. Time: After food.

3. Ashokarishta: 20ml mixed with 20ml water. Time: Twice daily after food.

4. Iron Supplement (Crucial): Since you have bled for 4 weeks, start a standard Iron Supplement (like Dhatri Lauha or an OTC Iron pill) immediately to prevent exhaustion.

Strictly Avoid: Hot foods like Papaya, Pineapple, Sesame seeds, Garlic and Spicy food. These increase blood flow.

I work mostly with the classical principles, the ones I studied again n agin during my training, and I try to see how they fit with each patient’s prakriti and the tiny details of their health story. I am often thinking how Ayurveda doesn’t rush anything, it asks for understanding of the roga and even the rogi in a deeper way, and I keep that in mind when someone walks in and tell me their concerns. Some cases are simple, some not really, but I do my best to look at the ahara, vihara, dosha pattern and even the habits they don’t notice at first. Sometimes I get a bit caught up in analysing too many factors at once, or typing notes too fas and mixing commas,, but at the core I focus on using authentic Ayurvedic approaches—herbal formulations, routine correction, panchkarma suggestions where needed—and I try to guide people gently without overwhelming them. I am also aware that many patients come with doubts or half-heard ideas about Ayurveda, and I try to clear those without sounding too “doctorly,” just explaining what makes sense for their body. I want them to feel they can trust the process, even if progress take time or feel slow on some days. I am still growing in this field, and every person who comes to me reminds me why I chose Ayurveda in the first place: clarity, balance, and healing that respects the person as a whole. My focus is on menstrual disorders, infertility, PCOD, antenatal/postnatal care and basically all things that come under hormonal balance n reproductive care. Whether it’s irregular periods or low back pain in 9th month, I try to see the root, not just the label. I’m also involved in Panchakarma protocols—mainly tailored for stree roga—and yeah, sometimes even simple procedures like yoni pichu or basti when done right can make a big shift. That’s something I’ve seen in real time. I work closely with seniors on both clinical diagnosis and designing personalized treatment plans—always thinking about prakriti, vikriti, and also the woman’s mental n emotional space. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused.
