Hmm, dealing with abdominal pain can be tricky, especially with what you’re describing. Moderate pain on the sides, lower abdomen and lower back might be pointing towards a few possibilities, but bear with me, we need a sensible approach.

First off, even if it’s the middle of the night, you gotta keep an eye on it. If things start feeling worse or you notice anything new like vomiting, fever, or if the pain spikes, please get to a medical professional soon.

Assuming for now it’s manageable, let’s think about soothing that discomfort a little. Hydration is key, so keep sipping on warm water. Sometimes heat helps too – if you’ve got a hot water bottle or heating pad, that gentle warmth can ease some of that tension.

Thinking Ayurveda… your discomfort could be stirred by aggravated Vata dosha. It loves to throw things outta balance and lead to pain. Maybe try a bit of ginger tea? Easy to make and warm on the tummy. Just boil some ginger slices in water for 10 minutes, strain and sip away.

Avoid any heavy, greasy or overly spicy foods right now. Stick with light, easily digestable meals – think kichari (if you got the ingredients) or plain rice with a touch of ghee.

If you’re constipated, that can worsen things, so consider Triphala before bed. It’s generally safe but go easy on it - mix a teaspoon in warm water and drink up.

Don’t forget taking deep, relaxed breaths - stress tightens us up, and we sometimes hold that tension in our muscles, worsening pain. Try to get some good rest too, listen to what your body’s saying.

But again, if the pain gets worse, please prioritize getting medical help. Better safe than sorry, you know? Anyway, hope some of these ideas bring a little comfort till you can get more help.
