Dr. Jeet Shukla
Dr. Jeet Shukla, I am Dr. Jeet Shukla, an Ayurvedic consultant with a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.), complemented by specialized training in Yoga and Panchakarma. My practice is rooted in the authentic principles of Ayurveda, with a strong focus on individualized care that addresses both the root cause and symptomatic expressions of disease. I believe healing is most effective when guided by a deep understanding of the body’s constitution (Prakriti) and the balance of doshas. Over the years, I have developed expertise in treating a wide range of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions. I commonly manage dermatological issues such as eczema, psoriasis, and persistent acne, using herbal formulations, internal detoxification, and topical therapies. My approach to respiratory disorders—including asthma, allergic rhinitis, and bronchitis—emphasizes strengthening Ojas (immunity) and clearing Kapha-related imbalances through tailored Panchakarma procedures and Rasayana support. I also specialize in digestive health and regularly see patients with IBS, hyperacidity, bloating, and chronic indigestion. For these cases, I emphasize Agni-balancing, diet corrections, and gut rejuvenation. Additionally, I work with patients suffering from recurrent migraines and stress-related disorders, blending Ayurveda with yogic techniques such as Pranayama, meditation, and marma therapy to support both mental clarity and nervous system balance. My consultations are holistic, integrating detailed history-taking, pulse diagnosis, and lifestyle assessment. Whether managing psychosomatic illnesses or guiding seasonal detox plans, my aim is to empower patients with sustainable, natural solutions that promote long-term wellness. With every treatment plan, I ensure the therapy aligns with the individual’s constitution, stage of life, and specific health goals.

Knee pain from gout and high uric acid is indeed very troublesome, and Ayurveda offers some natural ways you could find relief. In Ayurveda, gouty arthritis is related to high vata and kapha dosha. To manage the pain and swelling effectively, pay attention to dietary, lifestyle, and herbal remedies. Let's start with diet. Your focus should be on reducing purine intake which may help manage uric acid levels. Avoid red meats, aged cheeses, shellfish, and alcohol especially beer. Instead, favor more of a plant-based diet with lots of vegetables like cucumber, beets, pumpkin, and bitter gourd which are considered good for gout. Also, make sure you are hydrated; drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins. Cherries, particularly tart cherries, may help lower uric acid levels, so try to include them in your diet if possible. Next, lifestyle adjustments are significant too. Establishing a routine can support balance. Aim for regular exercise that’s gentle on the joints — swimming or yoga can do wonders. But, steer clear of any heavy strain on the knees if they are hurting. Rest is crucial when you experience a flare-up. Apply a warm compress to your knees; it might help ease pain or swelling. Massaging the knees with warm sesame oil can be soothing and helps in circulating the energy (vata) accumulated in the joints. On the herbal front, turmeric is an excellent anti-inflammatory agent. You might try taking it with warm milk or water. Guduchi is another herb known to help reduce uric acid levels - but it’s advisable to consult with a healthcare provider for the correct dose. Also, incorporating ginger tea can support digestion and help reduce inflammation. When you experience severe swelling, unmanageable pain, or other symptoms like persistent headache, it's important to contact a healthcare professional immediately for proper medical care. Balancing doshas takes time and consistency, so don't rush the process. Remember, the ultimate goal is harmony within the body and mind.
