how to consume shilajit resin - #23480

Aubrey

I am really trying to figure out how to consume shilajit resin properly, like, I've read stuff online but honestly, I'm still confused. So, here's the deal: I got this pure shilajit resin from a trusted supplier after hearing how amazing it could be for energy and overall health. But now that I have it, I just don't know the best way to use it. I mean, do I mix it with water? Or should I be adding it to my milk? I've tried a tiny bit with hot water but the taste isn’t exactly pleasant! 🤢 There's also this guide I found that said something about having it with honey... Would that make a difference? And what about dosage?! Like, how much is too much or too little for someone just starting out? My friend said shilajit resin helped with her fatigue and I seriously need some energy boost. But I’m worried I might mess it up somehow, you know? Any tips on how to consume shilajit resin effectively would be super helpful! Thanks a ton!

When you're starting with shilajit resin, it's important to keep things simple and consistent for the best results. Yes, the taste can be an acquired one, but don't worry—there are ways to make it more palatable and effective. Typically, a pea-sized portion, which is around 300mg, is a good starting dose to assess its effects on your body. You can gradually increase to about 500mg per day, depending on how your body responds. Here's how you can incorporate it into your routine: Mix shilajit resin with something warm like water or milk. Milk is recommended in Ayurveda as it helps with absorption and balances shilajit’s warm nature. Simply dissolve the resin in a glass of warm milk in the morning or before bed. Honey is another great option. Once the resin dissolves in warm water, add about a teaspoon of honey. The sweetness can make the taste more tolerable, plus honey has its own health benefits like boosting energy and supporting digestion. Consistency is key—try taking it daily for a few weeks to see its effects. Observe how your body feels; if you experience significant warmth, it might indicate too much (since shilajit is naturally heating). Cut down the dose if this happens. Start slow, because everyone's dosha or constitution (vata, pitta, kapha) can respond differently. It's worth noting that while shilajit is beneficial, it's best used as a supportive supplement, alongside a balanced diet and lifestyle. Avoid taking it if you're pregnant or have certain health conditions; consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner can give you a plan tailored to your individual needs. Always listen to your body and adjust accordingly. Hydration and a healthy diet will complement its effects nicely.
