Your symptoms indicate an imbalance that could be linked to Vata and Pitta dosha disturbances, given the alternating constipation and diarrhea, presence of mucous, and weight loss. The mild hepatomegaly suggests liver involvement, possibly aggravating digestive issues. Let's focus on balancing these doshas and supporting your liver health along the way. Firstly, it’s essential to address your liver function. Kutki (Picrorhiza kurroa) is an excellent herbal remedy for supporting liver health. You could try 500mg of Kutki with a little honey or warm water twice daily after meals. It acts as a liver tonic, gently detoxifying and improving liver function, eventually supporting your digestion. For regulating bowel movements and relieving constipation, consider **Triphala**. It is a well-known Ayurvedic formula of three fruits helping to harmonize the digestive system. Take 1/2 teaspoon of Triphala powder mixed in warm water before bed. It can support you in softening stools and enhancing regularity without causing loose stools. Regularizing your diet is crucial. Avoid spicy, oily, and fried foods as they can disturb Pitta and cause more irritation at the anal region. Include wholesome foods like rice, moong dal, cooked vegetables, and ghee. They are easy to digest and help balance Vata and Pitta. Try to incorporate more fibre with boiled vegetables like carrots and squash. Hydration is key. Warm water with a splash of lemon in the morning can stimulate digestive fire (Agni) smoothly. Always drink water at room temperature or warm – cold drinks can aggravate Vata. Managing stress levels can help too, as stress can exacerbate Vata imbalance. Gentle yoga or meditation could ease anxiety and promote relaxation. Lastly, since there’s blood with hard stools, exercise caution. If you experience severe bleeding or extreme pain, consult a healthcare professional promptly. שלך
