does kumkumadi tailam cause pimples - #25151

William

I am really worried about my skin right now. I've been using kumkumadi tailam for a few weeks after hearing how great it is for brightening skin and reducing dark circles. I was excited, thinking I was doing something good for my face. But then I started noticing little pimples popping up, mostly on my cheeks and forehead. Like, seriously, I never had breakout like this before! 🤨 My skin used to be pretty clear. I've read that kumkumadi tailam is supposed to be really beneficial, but now I'm questioning if does kumkumadi tailam cause pimples for some people? I tried to trace what might be causing this, and the only new thing is the oil. I even checked to see if I was allergic, but that seems unlikely. Could it be too oily for my skin type? Or is this just a temporary thing? Ugh, could really use some advice. Anyone else had this issue with kumkumadi tailam? Do I keep using it or should I stop??

Kumkumadi tailam is generally revered for its skin-enhancing properties, but you’re not alone in experiencing breakouts after its application. While the formulation can work wonders for many, it might not suit everyone’s skin type perfectly. The problem might be related to your skin's dosha type or the oiliness of the product itself. First, let's consider your skin type in the context of Ayurveda. If your skin is predominantly Kapha, which means it’s naturally more oily, kumkumadi tailam might indeed be too rich and greasy, potentially leading to blockages in your pores. This blockage can spark breakouts such as the pimples you are seeing on your face. You might want to reduce the frequency or amount of the oil you're using. Trial using it only every other day, or apply in smaller quantities to see if there's improvement. It's especially important, if you're sensitive to oils, to always cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying and again in the morning. That will help clear out excess oil that might be staying on your skin overnight. Additionally, when applying, make sure you're rubbing it in gently until it absorbs in well. Leaving a layer can sometimes cause your epidermis trouble. Moreover, consider skipping the oil some days to allow your skin to breathe. If you see no reduction in breakouts after adjusting how you use the oil, it might simply not be the correct solution for your skin at this time. You might want to consult a professional Ayurvedic practitioner directly as they can help assess the specific balance of your doshas and recommend alternatives that harmonize better with your prakriti (constitution). Remember, skincare is exceptionally individualistic, and what's beneficial to others might not always work for us like that. Being patient and observant about what worsens or eases the condition is a crucial step in finding what suits your skin.
