I am feeling really sluggish lately, like my energy is just totally stuck! I read somewhere that I might have too much kapha in my body, but honestly, I have no clue how to reduce kapha in body or even if that's what's going on. Last week, I noticed I've been getting congested a lot, especially in mornings, and my digestion is kinda slow too. Sometimes it’s like my body just feels heavy, and I can’t keep up with daily stuff. A friend told me that I might need to eat different foods or do some exercise to help with this kapha thing, but I feel overwhelmed. Like, how do I know which foods actually help reduce kapha in body? I tried some teas but didn’t see much change. Seriously, any practical tips or lifestyle changes to reduce kapha would be super appreciated! Just tired of feeling this sluggish! Thanks in advance!

Stay away from dairy, cold drinks, sugar, and excess fats, which can increase Kapha. Instead, opt for fresh fruits like pears and apples, and veggies that are more bitter and astringent such as spinach and mustard greens. These will support your body’s natural cleansing processes.

Regarding lifestyle, physical activity is crucial. Engage in daily exercise that gets your heart rate up, even a brisk walk or some dancing at home can be invigorating. Early morning hours are ideal for exercising to overcome Kapha sluggishness.

It’s also beneficial to establish a regular daily routine. Wake up early, preferably before sunrise, to align with the natural energy flow. This can prevent lethargy from settling in. Engage in activities that challenge you mentally and physically to prevent that “stuck” feeling.

In addition, moderate the use of oils in your daily routine, focusing instead on dry brushing your skin or using a small amount of warming oils like sesame for massage. This helps improve circulation and lymphatic flow, reducing that heavy feeling.

Lastly, try to consume herbal teas that enhance digestive function and flush out excess Kapha. Tulsi, ginger, and cinnamon teas might be more effective than what you’ve tried before.

Remember, these changes take consistency to notice significant improvement, so be patient with yourself during this adjustment. If symptoms persist or worsen, consulting with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for a personalized assessment might be beneficial.
