The symptoms you’ve described, including anxiety, palpitations, sweating, and spinning sensations when feeling fearful, can be quite distressing. According to Ayurveda, these experiences might be linked with imbalances in Vata dosha, characterized by qualities like movement, changeability, and instability.

First, addressing Vata imbalance is crucial. Begin by establishing a routine, as Vata thrives on stability. Sleeping and waking up at the same time each day can help regulate your biorhythms. Engage in grounding activities such as yoga or meditation daily. Simple breathing exercises, like Pranayama, can be effective in calming the mind and balancing emotions.

In terms of diet, favor warm, cooked foods over raw or cold ones. Include nourishing oils and healthy fats like ghee and sesame oil, as these can pacify vata. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine and opt for herbal teas like chamomile or ashwagandha, known to reduce stress. Incorporating spices like ginger, cumin, and turmeric in your meals can support digestion and balance vata.

For emotional stability, practice Abhyanga, or self-massage, using warm sesame or almond oil to calm the nervous system and strengthen mind-body connection. Apply gentle pressure during this ritual, especially in the scalp area, to ease tension and foster relaxation.

Remember, these steps are complementary and supportive. If symptoms persist or worsen, or if you experience severe distress, seek immediate medical evaluation. Certain conditions may require professional psychiatric interventions, and neglecting these could be unsafe.

Experiencing symptoms like rotating head, palpitations, sweating, emotional imbalance, and overthinking often indicates an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which can lead to anxiety and related issues. To address this, start by focusing on calming and grounding the Vata energy.

Here are some steps you can incorporate:

1. Diet: Consume warm, nourishing foods such as soups and stews. Include sweet, sour, and salty tastes as they can help balance Vata. Avoid dry, cold, or raw foods.

2. Routine: Establish a consistent daily routine. Try to wake up, eat, and sleep at the same times each day to help stabilize the body’s natural rhythms.

3. Herbal Remedies: Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that can help reduce anxiety and stress. You can take it in powder form with warm milk or water, about a half teaspoon before bedtime.

4. Breathing Exercises: Pranayama, especially Nadi Shodhana or Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing) can be helpful to calm the mind and improve focus.

5. Yoga and Meditation: Gentle yoga poses focusing on forward bends and seated postures, followed by meditation, can be beneficial.

6. Self-Massage: Abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame oil can be calming and grounding, helping to soothe the nervous system.

If your symptoms are persisting or worsening, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional to rule out any serious conditions. Integrating these practices can offer relief and help restore balance, but ensure to seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe symptoms.
