Namaste, Your symptoms — bloating, inflammation in lower rib area, dryness, thirst, and underweight with Crohn’s — indicate vata-pitta imbalance with sensitive digestion (agni disturbance). The focus should be on reducing inflammation, calming vata, and supporting gentle digestion without aggravating pitta. Avoid raw foods, salads, excess fiber, very spicy, sour, and fried foods. Even healthy foods can aggravate if digestion is weak. Prefer soft, warm, well-cooked meals like moong dal, rice alternatives (if tolerated), vegetable soups, and light stews. Avoid long gaps between meals. Small, frequent meals work better. Even though you feel thirsty, avoid drinking large quantities at once — sip warm water or warm herbal water (like cumin water) throughout the day. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Kutajarishta – 15 ml with equal water, twice daily after food Dadimashtaka Churna – 1 teaspoon, twice daily with food Shatavari Churna – 1 teaspoon, once daily with milk or warm water These are traditionally used to reduce gut inflammation, improve digestion, and support nourishment while balancing vata and pitta. Additional support: A small quantity of ghee (1–2 teaspoons daily) can help reduce dryness and support gut healing if tolerated. Avoid over-restricting diet, as it may worsen weight loss and weakness. Improvement is gradual, and stability of digestion is the main goal rather than quick suppression of symptoms. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.
