Seeking Relief from Pittajata Ama Badha Symptoms - #52399

Mansi

Pls tell solution for pittajata ama badha. Was suffering from acidity, loose motion once, bloating, redrash problems, dry skin, burning in anus, frequent hunger, dizziness. So after taking avipattikar+ sutshekhar ras+kamdudha all above problems solved.Just negligible bloating left ,motion is also well formed but is sticky now also i don't feel hungry at all.Acidity and all other issues completely gone.Pls don't advise any severe drying med as it increases vata since agni is low. Also don't advise kadha/ syrup.HUMBLE REQUEST pls help🙏🙏🙏

Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.

I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.

Your symptoms suggest an imbalance primarily involving Pitta and Ama, with some Vata involvement. The initial symptoms of acidity, loose motion, bloating, red rashes, dry skin, burning sensation in the anus, frequent hunger, and dizziness indicate an aggravated Pitta dosha combined with the presence of Ama (toxins) in the body. This can lead to excessive heat, irritation, and digestive disturbances.

The dryness and burning sensations, along with dizziness, point towards Vata imbalance, which can be exacerbated by excessive drying treatments. The fact that your symptoms improved with Avipattikar, Sutshekhar Ras, and Kamdudha suggests that these helped to pacify Pitta and remove Ama.

Currently, your symptoms of negligible bloating and sticky stools, along with low appetite, suggest that while Pitta has been pacified, there might still be some residual Ama affecting your digestive fire (Agni), leading to weak digestion and absorption.

Ayurveda views this as a systemic imbalance, not separate issues. It is crucial to restore digestive fire without aggravating Vata, which requires a balanced approach focusing on gentle digestion enhancement and avoiding overly drying or heating treatments.

To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.

Please answer each question as clearly as possible:

1. How long have you been experiencing the current symptoms, especially the low appetite and sticky stools? 2. What is your current appetite like? Are there any specific times of day it improves or worsens? 3. Have you noticed any specific triggers for your symptoms, such as certain foods, stress, or weather changes? 4. Can you describe the consistency and frequency of your bowel movements now? 5. Are there any lifestyle habits or dietary patterns you follow that might be relevant? 6. Have you tried any other treatments or dietary changes recently? 7. How is your overall energy level and sleep quality currently?

Your detailed responses will help in formulating a more tailored approach to restoring balance.

1)since 4 years 2) No appetite after all above med

Namaste Mansi, Your current condition — relief in acidity and loose motions but now loss of appetite with sticky stools and mild bloating — indicates that ama is still present with low agni, and excessive pitta has been controlled but digestion has become weak (vata involvement starting). You have managed the acute phase well. Now the focus should be on rekindling appetite gently without increasing dryness or pitta. As you rightly mentioned, strong drying medicines or kadha are not suitable at this stage. ⸻ What to do now Avoid completely stopping medicines suddenly, but shift towards mild agni deepana (appetite improvement). Prefer warm, soft, freshly cooked food. Do not force eating when there is no hunger, but also avoid long gaps. Small, light meals are better. Add a small piece of fresh ginger with a pinch of rock salt before meals — this can gently stimulate appetite. Avoid heavy, oily, very spicy, and processed foods. Also avoid overeating even if appetite suddenly improves. ⸻ Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing (mild approach): Hingwashtak Churna – ½ teaspoon with first bite of food Dadimashtaka Churna – 1 teaspoon with food (once or twice daily) Guduchi Satva – a small pinch once daily with water These are gentle and traditionally used to improve digestion, reduce stickiness in stool, and balance pitta without aggravating vata. ⸻ Important understanding • Loss of appetite at this stage is due to low digestive fire, not absence of need • Sticky stool indicates incomplete digestion (ama still present) • Your treatment should now move from “cooling” to “mildly stimulating digestion” ⸻ Expectation Appetite may start improving in 1–2 weeks with proper support, and stool quality will gradually normalize. ⸻ You have already improved significantly — now the goal is to restore stable digestion without relapse. Consultation can help tailor this further to your needs.
