Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.
The bleeding you experienced after undergoing Ksharsutra treatment for hemorrhoids can be understood through the lens of Ayurveda. The Ksharsutra procedure is designed to cut, drain, and heal the hemorrhoidal tissue, which involves a controlled inflammatory response. This process can sometimes lead to mild bleeding as the tissues are healing and adjusting.
From an Ayurvedic standpoint, this bleeding could be related to an imbalance in Pitta dosha, which governs heat and blood flow in the body. The procedure itself might have aggravated the Pitta, leading to increased heat and movement of blood in the affected area. Additionally, if your diet or lifestyle has been such that it increases Pitta (e.g., spicy foods, stress), it might contribute to this symptom.
It is important to view this as part of a systemic imbalance rather than an isolated issue. The body’s response to treatment, diet, stress levels, and adherence to post-treatment care all play a role in the healing process.
To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.
Please answer each question as clearly as possible:
1. How would you describe the amount of blood flow: a few drops, moderate bleeding, heavy bleeding, or constant oozing? 2. Did you experience any pain or discomfort during the bleeding? If so, was it mild, moderate, or severe? 3. Have you noticed any other symptoms accompanying the bleeding, such as itching, swelling, fever, or none? 4. What has your diet been like in the past few days: high fiber and hydration, normal diet, or low fiber with high processed foods? 5. Have you been following the post-treatment care instructions strictly, mostly, or not really? 6. How has your bowel movement been since the treatment: regular and comfortable, occasional discomfort, constipation, or diarrhea? 7. Have you experienced any stress or emotional disturbances recently, such as mild, moderate, or severe stress?
Your detailed responses will help in tailoring a more effective follow-up care plan.
Namaste, Ksharsutra treatment ke baad 6th day par moderate bleeding hona kabhi-kabhi ho sakta hai, lekin ise lightly ignore nahi karna chahiye. Iske possible reasons ho sakte hain: • Slough (dead tissue) separation – jab treated tissue girta hai tab thoda bleeding ho sakta hai • Dressing ya local movement se minor vessel open hona • Bowel movement ke time halka strain ya friction Aapne bataya ki pain nahi hai aur motion bhi normal hai — yeh thoda reassuring hai, lekin bleeding ka amount important hai. ⸻ Abhi kya karein • Straining bilkul avoid karein • Zyada der tak baithna avoid karein • Continue sitz bath (garam paani me baithna) 10–15 min, din me 2–3 baar • Area ko clean aur dry rakhein ⸻ Diet • Soft, easily pass hone wala food lein • Pani adequate lein • Fiber moderate rakhein (zyada bhi nahi, kam bhi nahi) ⸻ Kab dikkat ho sakti hai Agar: • Bleeding repeat ho ya badh jaye • Fresh red blood zyada amount me aaye • Chakkar, weakness feel ho Toh turant apne surgeon/doctor ko contact karein ⸻ Important point Ksharsutra ke baad healing process me thoda bahut bleeding normal ho sakta hai, lekin “moderate bleeding” ko monitor karna zaroori hai. ⸻ Aapne jo care follow ki hai woh sahi hai — bas is symptom ko observe karein aur agar repeat ho to doctor ko dikhana zaroori hai. Consultation can help guide you further if needed.
