However, a few precautions are important: Take Triphala in a moderate dose only (usually ½–1 teaspoon powder with warm water at bedtime Keep a gap of about 2 hours between aspirin and Triphala. Avoid excessive use, as high doses may irritate the stomach or increase acidity in some people. Since aspirin can increase bleeding tendency, stop Triphala and if you notice: stomach pain, black stools, bleeding gums, unusual bruising, loose motions.
