For a 56-year-old woman with high triglycerides, cholesterol, borderline HbA1c, mild hypothyroid tendency, and occasional bleeding piles, Ayurveda focuses on improving Agni (metabolism), Meda Dhatu balance (fat metabolism), liver function, and gut cleansing gently and safely. Neem, Haldi, and Moringa are helpful, but alone may not be sufficient for long-standing lipid imbalance of 10+ years. Suggested Ayurvedic Support Moringa – supports metabolism, sugar balance, and nutrition. Haldi (Turmeric) – helps inflammation, fatty metabolism, and liver support. Neem – useful for blood purification and sugar tendency, but should be used in moderate quantity because excess can aggravate dryness and Vata in some individuals. Better Ayurvedic Combination Along with the above, she may benefit from: Guggul preparations (like Medohar/Triphala Guggul ) – traditionally used for high triglycerides, cholesterol, and weight/metabolic correction. Triphala at night – excellent for gentle gut cleansing, piles tendency, and improving digestion. Amla – supports cholesterol balance, immunity, and prevents excess heat from turmeric/guggul. Best Time to Take Since she takes thyroid medicine in the morning, Ayurvedic herbs should ideally be taken: 45–60 minutes after breakfast, OR After lunch/evening meal Avoid taking herbal tablets together with thyroid medicine. Diet & Lifestyle Advice Reduce: sugar, bakery items, fried foods, curd at night, refined oils, excess rice, packaged snacks. Prefer: warm water, old barley/wheat, green vegetables, garlic, methi, flaxseed, light dinners. Walking 35–45 minutes daily is very important for triglyceride reduction. Avoid constipation because it can worsen piles and metabolism.
